Now we know why gov't controlled & mandated is necessary: http://www.breitbart.tv/pelosi-to-a...ur-job-taxpayers-will-cover-your-health-care/
Might be better to have taxes go to aspiring musicians for our listening pleasure rather than all of it, pre tax, to go to stocking the yacht's fridges with bubbly via "capitalism" through the exploitation of mass, poverty level paid labor.
Yeah, yeah..blah, blah...capitalism..whatever. So when was Pelsoi's view that people should quit there jobs & pursue their fancies ever tendered as a selling point of Obamacare? What if everyone decided to become an artist? Where would the money come from then?
David, health care is a HUGE issue for entrepreneurs trying to bootstrap a startup. Do you know where most of the new jobs come from in this country? It's certainly not from the recipients of all the Bush bailout money. It's the small businesses that create jobs. The number one factor that hold small business back from creating new jobs is the skyrocketing cost of health care. It's even worse than payroll taxes now. Why do you think helping new small business startups is a bad thing?
You're just against everything David. There's plenty in the health care bill to dislike, no doubt about that. But, our system is so broken that it would have been criminal to do nothing, which is what the Republicans want to do. Just hearing the term "pre-existing condition" makes me want to punch random GOP leaders in the face. But, where health care hurts small business is that it's a heck of a choice when you have to choose between having coverage for your family or run your own business. And, for those lucky enough to not be screwed by the Republican rules against them being able to take care of their families, it's hard to hire good help because they have a hard time competing with the mega companies who have the leverage to negotiate better deals on health coverage. The Republicans have set up the system to favor huge corporations over small business and individuals, and I think that is un-American.
No I'm not. I'm for individual freedom, I'm for a government that doesn't try to control our lives, I'm for self reliance, I'm for personal responsibility...see, I'm for a lot of things. What? Republicans rules against being able to take care of their families? That is definitely a far left, fear mongering talking point...something Dr moen & Nancy Pelosi would be proud of (at least the far left liberal disinformation machine has one success to be proud of). I have participated in the creation of a few small businesses over the years and I can assure you the environment now, where the struggling small business owners are taxed to death & now forced to shell out big money to Obamacare is a lot tougher now than it was 5- 10 years ago. When a business customer consults with us now they bring up the implications of Obamacare 100% of the time so don't pretend for a minute that Obamacare is a Godsend to anyone. I've said it a number of times, some reform is needed in our healthcare system (now more than ever) but forcing individuals into the system is wrong, passing a measure just to pad "the Obama" ego and so he can parade around proclaiming he finally kept a campaign promise is wrong, passing "anything" like Rahm & Pelosi instructed without having ample time to read the bill is wrong, promising an open debate then wheeling & dealing under the table & behind closed doors is wrong...a little oversight & regulation makes sense, government control doesn't. It hasn't worked anywhere else and it won't work here. "the Obama" has elusions of changing the US into some sort of European-style borderless, identityless, collective "nation of the world"- look what is happening across Europe at the moment. Does it look like a good idea to you now?
I just heard today that the Governor of Louisiana wants the US govermment to do more about the oil leak in the Gulf. To do more. So now he wants big government. Now he wants government interference. I guess when its advantages, more government is ok. I bring this up because like David, this fellow doesnt want government to try and control our lives either. Well, except for the oil thing, then its ok.
Government exists to do those things that we can't do for ourselves....like defend our borders (which "the obama" doesn't believe in), provide fire, police protection and maybe even clean up a mess it could be complicit in and that the individual states do not have the ability to battle. Pretty radical stuff, huh?
Have you not been listening over the past, what, 2 years or so? Health insurance isn't the same as national defense or police protection.. we should have the individual freedom to decide for ourselves whether we want coverage or not? Radical, huh?
Well I havent been listening to you for that time if thats what you mean. You already have coverage dont you? So it shouldnt be a concern of yours. And dont give me that my great great grandchildren wiill have to pay for it stuff. They'll have more to worry about then tbe present population griping about taxes.
We shouldn't have the right to decide coverage questions for ourselves? ....and where did I say anything about your great great grandchildren? You know, I'm starting to see a trend here- you make arguments concerning things I've never said. What's up?
That might be the dumbest post I have ever read on this forum. What is he supposed to do Craig, send some dead oil covered pelicans to BP with a letter. You know damn well that a state doesn't have the power to pressure a corporation like BP. He doesn't want big government, but he does want the federal government to handle what they are supposed to handle. You know, like natural disasters involving multinational corporations.
I've thought that too when craiga has posted some of his "stuff" but then he always manages to top himself.
This isnt even an arguement. In past posts you said that the healthcare bill would need to be paid for by future generations. Yes. You did say it. And since you already have coverage, the health care bill should not even concern you. So what trend are you talking about.
It might be. But it isnt. The dumb thing is, after the federal government pays for clean up and supplements the income of Louisianas fisherman this governor will go back to criticizing the present administration. And you want to know what I think the dumbest thing I ever read in this forum? Its That David thinks homosexuality is a ''choice''. Now thats pretty f%#king dumb.
Yes, it is. There you go arguing with yourself. I never said one way or the other, but you knew that didn't you?
