All the talk about religion in here, reminded me of the Mormons who pester me sometimes. I wondered about their lifestyle.

Initially I thought , no way. One woman is quite enough trouble to deal with ! Then I realised that most of these lifestylers are women, as there are several women per man. So clearly proportionately more women seem to like the set up. I thought about the benefits for women and for men.

The benefits for men include greater availability of sex. More conversation and company. More fun. A lively social life- wives friends coming and going. An increased likelihood that someone would be home when you got in, maybe even a hot meal for the man when he got in. Perhaps four salaries coming in, rather than just one or two. More day outs and better holidays would ensue.

Importantly, if any particular woman was feeling like a row, maybe another woman will get the bitching/nagging and not the man. I could see this working. With 3 wives, you would end up with a one in three chance of being the target, ie 33.3 %. whereas in a one to one relationship, the man is stuck with pretty much a 100% likelihood of being the target .

Drawbacks for the man would be more kids than he wanted. And all that goes with that, and also lots of dates to never dare forget. And all the jewellery to buy - ouch. And of course, there would be no shortage of self righteous, holier than thou jerks gawping at you every time you went into the street.

The disadvantages for men in general include, a shortage of available women if the lifestyle ever got popular.

Women on the other hand get an inbuilt social network right in the home. Benefits include shared household duties, like baby sitting, cooking, washing and hovering etc. More opportunities for conversation.

I cant really see it working unless all the women are good friends though.

Disadvantages for women might be not as much sex as they might like, and competition with other women for the mans attention etc.

What have I missed out ? Is anyone here involved in this lifestyle ? Would you like to be?

LOl @ the more conversation and company. Most men can't handle the conversation of one woman let alone 3 or 5, they'd be better off being swingers.

Don't forget that women who live together tend to get their cycles at the same time.

That alone should keep men from wanting that.
