Hey Bill, I have some questions:

On what date does "Independents Day" fall? Is the date static, or does it
    change?

Is it based upon a lunar phase? Solar flares? Tides?

Is this a western or eastern tradition?

Where and when was it first observed?

Is it a federal holiday? If I work on that day, do I get paid double time,
or do I get a day in lieu?

Does Hallmark have cards for "Independents Day"?

    Are there "Independents Day" songs?

Is there a traditional color? You know, like green and red are Xmas colors.

Is there a traditional "Independents Day" meal? If there isn't, which of
these tasty treats would be a appropriate on that day::

    Pot Roast
    Tuna casserole
    Cheese omelete
    Tater Tots (yum)
    Malt-O-Meal
Meat loaf (with or without bacon strips on the top?)
    Campbell's Chicken With Rice soup
Lime Jello (With or without fruit cocktail added in)
Rice A Roni (The San Francisco treat)
    Frozen boisenberries on orange sherbet
Peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich (gotta be Smuckers)
    Big Red gum

Your vast expertise on the subject of "Independents Day" is very much in
need if we are to ensure that "Independents Day" receives the recognition,
and dare I say it, respect, it truly deserves.

    Thanks ever so much
