I've just seen this and was pretty shocked. The first time I fired a pistol was 2006 in Thailand. It was a Smith & Wesson .38. No one warned me about this. I must have been holding it right I suppose. Lucky me: [ame= - Why you have to keep your fingers away from the end of a revolvers' cylinder[/ame]
I don't' know how you could blow your thumb off like he said but you could injure yourself if you tried to shoot it by pulling the trigger with you second finger plowing off your index finger. It's not to smart to do that with an auto either.
ok, so what really broke the hot dog? backlash from the round going off, or just the inertia of the hot dog not wanting to move with the recoil of the gun? and hot dogs don't have bones in them like fingers do. and what goober fires with his finger on the revolving part of a revolver? Common sense should tell you to keep your fingers and such away from moving parts of a gun. oh yeah, and the long barrel part.
I think its the back blast between the cylinder and frame. I bet it would hurt but so dose a slide on an auto.
We all know what he was trying to demonstrate, but he should definitely use something more solid than a hot dog. How about a frozen popsicle? The stick can represent bone? Any asshat with a pinch of experience knows fukken better than to put their fingers in way of moving parts.
It would be more gratifying if the idiot did the demonstration using his penis. A complete tool like him lost his privilage to be in the man club.
As long as the sonofabitch doesn't film it. I cringe everytime I think about a guy I know dropping a handgun, it discharged, and struck him two inches above his fukken manhood. *shudder*
