OK, let me get some quotes in order....

I was being sarcastic, yet point out or taking issue with the substance of what Aiden relayed in his post...

Not taking issue with Aiden, but the fact that ""TPTB" are trying to again crack down on what who can say.... Even if I don't approve of the message or lyrics, I don;t want them to be censered... Once that starts where does it stop??? Who is to say what it right to say and wrong???

I don't want someone telling me what I can and can't say...

1st its anything and everything that can be twisted and spun as racist or sexist...

Then its anything against Homosexuals, then fat people, then bald people, then short people, then old people, then against the color orange, then against the state, on an on.....

Not to be an alarmist, but its a slippery slope that I don't want to start down....

 

Sometimes my thoughts get out of order when I get a bit frustrated...

Back to the IMUS thing... I do kinda think his saying ""Nappy Headed HOs"" and then getting smacked for it was a violation of his freadom of speach....

I'm not sticking up for Imus, I could give a sh!t less about that old dinosaur... I've never even seen or heard his show... The only mention I've ever heard of him, before this media frenzy was about 10 years ago, when I listened to Howard Stern a few times....

I'm not sticking up for what he said at all it was rude and distatefull... But, I think he should still have the right to ""Freedom of Speach"...

I do not see what he said as Racist... Which part was Racist???

Nappy??? My wife and daughter, both have nappy hair sometimes and they aren't black... Nothing racist there...

Headed??? Not really anything there....

Hos??? Not pleasent, but not racist either... I have had a few girlfriends, white and asian, and latina that I thought were Hos... Nothing to do with any one race in the ""Ho" label...

 

is freedom of speech was not violated, he can say what ever he wants (just not on national radio). He lost sponsors for his company so he lost his radio show that is not a free speech issue.
