I'm very comfortable with my beliefs...that is what bugs you. You run in here like a whiny little edited asking everyone to help you form your opinions on different issues. Here's a suggestion: Come to your own conclusions!! You have all the answers, apparently, so why keep asking the same questions?
But you don't care...in fact you dismiss it...unless they agree with what you already believe. It's like you have a conclusion then look to twist the evidence to support your conclusion rather than using the evidence to come to a conclusion. And they call me close minded??
I use far more evidence to come to my conclusion. that is the evidence you bring. Which is really like saying "Well, given the evidence, I really don't feel like learning". I also am more open minded. I get other peoples points, but I still question there points to see if they can explain it...that is all. You are very close minded. You ignore anything that anyone brings up that is bad about your religion. stainless
Ahhh, going back to religion now? Is it so hard to grasp the concept that I am Catholic because I agree with what Catholics believe rather than I believe what I believe simply because I'm Catholic? It's called having core values & beliefs...you should try it sometimes. I came to my conclusions a long time before I happened upon this forum & I have heard a lot more compelling arguments than you will ever hope to present. I don't understand what is so threatening about someone who holds firmly to their beliefs? Maybe that is what is wrong with the world today, huh? Does this make me close minded in your eyes? Given the crap I've seen from you, it's a tag I will wear proudly.
I wanna see one of these "intellegent arguments". Do you have any? stainless PS: I know my arguments suck, as I am still learning..but I will not, however, shut of my brain and go to faith..I feel knowledge is power.
I am not dismissing faith. I am simply looking for answers to life question like evolution, for instance. I feel it is better to at least make an attempt to figure it out instead of saying "Well, God did it, you can't tell me anything else". stainless
I don't think you are looking for answers...you are simply looking for opinions that support the conclusions you have already come to. Why else would you make this statement: "but I will not, however, shut of my brain and go to faith"? You are dismissing the the arguments of faith by your own admission.
Looking like justin whatever and looking like an ape are not the same thing. I hope you will see things are not always 'this is this, and thats it' as you get older. Always question the teachings of others.
I do, and I'm not closing my mind to anything. I want to learn also. If I'm wrong, I want to know. I don't like being wrong, but if I am, then I want to know so I can find out what is right. I don't say "this is this, and that's it", unless I know for a 100% it's true. And the theory I brought up I'm not too sure if it is true, or not. It makes sense in some areas, but it still has it's chances of being wrong. And once it is proven wrong, I'll go and search some more for what is right. Phoenix
I think we should raise money for David to take some biology classes! It could be a community service project.
