It's great, clean music, unlike today's loud hateful music with countless obscenities. And it's sung WAY better too.
She didn't break up the Beatles though. Even the most intense Yoko Ono haters are forced to admit that.
Then I will take away that brownie point for her in my book. You are free to love her music to your heart's content but that has no bearing on the fact that I never will find any enjoyment in it at all. I have about 12k worth of songs from about 425 artists but not one Beatles or Ono song makes the cut.
If you are getting your views on the political spectrum from your music choices, I can see why your world outlook is so naive.

This has been a pretty amusing thread actually. So I'm gonna jump in real quick. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Sorry Isaiah but I've always thought Yoko Ono was butt ugly. That's just me though. I have no desire to listen to her work but I listen to very little that comes even close to main stream. The airwaves are filled with and have been filled with crap for decades. Anyone want to bring up brainwashing? Hell, the music industry is full of it. You hear the same stuff all day on the radio because "they" deem it good and people blindly follow along because everyone else does. The Beatles did indeed have their day and did influence music. So did Elvis. I have never owned recordings by either of them. As I type I'm listening to King Crimson. The CD is Beat. No. I just happen to like their work. They've influenced a lot of bands and none of them comes close IMHO. Robert Fripp is a frigging genius and has surrounded himself with musicians capable of pulling off what he wants to express. Here's a guy who's ego does not get in the way. He's the "leader/founder" but prefers to sit in his chair and play guitar while Adrian Belew fronts what is basically FRIPPS band. Believe me there's a lot more than the "big names" out there and oft times much better. Yes, I dig my King Crimson but the list certainly does NOT stop there.
