You apparently find toking completely acceptable. What other criminal offenses do you find acceptable?

 

That has nothing to do with what you were talking about. If you want to change the subject start another thread. But OK. Loitering. that seems like a dumbass offense to me. The homeless would be in prison if that was enforced. But according to your high morals; if its on the books it should be. So the homeless, to you, are committing a crime every day. And blue laws. The not selling of liquor until after Noon on Sundays. That, to me, seems pretty archaic. So 7.11. clerk selling a six pack at 3am Sunday morning would be a pretty cool person to me. And not a hardened criminal. I know you don't see it that way. Call me when youre cannonized.

 

Perhaps your focus on the priority of "getting high" by one means or another is a bit too "high" on your priority list? Currently...it's the law. It's illegal. The persons engaging in its use are behaving in a criminal manner. IMO, potheads are especially useless. That's my opinion, and I'm very happy that it's illegal. Pot, as a recreational drug, serves no useful purpose, and should never be legal. If pot tokers are anything like cigarette smokers, and cigarette smokers are any indication as to how they show consideration to their fellow, non smoking human beings, than I'm very comfortable in my judgement. Smokers are ignorant, and somehow believe they have the right to force others to breathe their nasty fumes.

 

I think thong laws are utterly ridiculous and another egregious example of legislating morality.

You take everything to the extreme. There wont be gangs(gay biker or oherwise)roaming the streets blowing smoke in people's face.

 

Congratulations! You've discovered my secret! Yes..I purposefully take everything to the extreme, to make the point. Glad you can get that. Many cannot. Fact is when you make people think about things in the most extreme example possible, they sometimes pay attention to the position they're actually advocating.

So....why wouldn't there be gay biker gangs roaming the streets and blowing smoke in everyone elses faces? It would be legal. Why not? You mean people would have the courtesy to NOT do that? Really? Says who? Since when do people consider other folks when it comes to what THEY want to do? Again, with cigarettes for example, folks that smoke, believe they have the right to do so and they believe they SHOULD have the right to smoke wherever they deem it ok to do so. If that's 3 feet away, then so be it. People that smoke don't realize, or care, that somebody else can be within wind shot of their fecal smelling matter. To them, it's normal. We've had to legislate it away to catch a break from it.

Just like pot smokers would no doubt, eventually think that what they're doing is no big deal, and people that don't like it will have to get over it, because it's now legal. You see my friend, people are rude, ignorant, and self centered. They eventually do exactly what THEY want to do, and in the manner that THEY deem it acceptable to do so. If pot were legal, it wouldn't be very long before you had some schmuck firing up a joint at a baseball game next to your kid or you. Because people are ignorant. Here's another example. Ever pull up to a light and somebody behind you has the bass box blasting so much that it vibrates you and your whole car? They do because they're ignorant and because they can. F you and what want. It's all about what they want. You don't like it? Tough! The same with smokers, and would be the same if pot smoking became legal. They'd impose their LIFESTYLES onto you, whether you cared or not.
This is the case with almost everything questionable. If you made shi**ing in the streets legal, people eventually would claim they have the right to do it and the hell with what you think, because people are ignorant and inconsiderate of their fellow man in almost all cases when it comes down to what they consider ok with what you consider ok. This burnout weed thread exemplifies the mindset perfectly.

 

Beer drinkers can't drink wherever they, can they? Even Cigarette smokers can't. And I think gay biker gangs would opt for sodomizing rather than blowing smoke. And more and more cities are outlawing extremely loud music. And everyone who has a car doesn't do it. And I have burned one at a Nets fame a few times in my teens. No one complained. Why? Because we passed it around.

So you like to go to extremes. Try this! Conspiracy theories are extremely dangerous IMO and violate my view of what is morally acceptable. They should be illegal and those who engage in propagandizing them should face a prison sentence of 25 years to life.

I'd rather smell dead fish baking in the sun on a hot summer day. If it doesn't make you stupid, the the people that smoke it must already be. They certainly act like they are. It should be illegal, and IT IS.

I think people that believe wholly, everything that is handed to them, and who ignore the obvious, are more of a danger to society than they are to themselves, and should be lobotomized, then spoon fed their own brains for as long as it sustains them.

 

There are plenty of potheads who were stupid before they ever picked up a joint. Likewise, there are plenty of people who have never smoked pot who are incredibly stupid. If you want to see one, look in a mirror. If you have never smoked it, how can you speak intelligently about it's effects or make a determination about whether it should or should not be illegal?

You believe the rhetoric that the government has handed you stating that marijuana is dangerous. Nothing could be further from the truth. You were not alive when it was made illegal, but chances are very high that you will be alive when it is legalized.
