The US war in Afghanistan is officially finished tonight. US Central Command tweeted the photo above, of the last US soldier boarding a plane to leave Kabul, and while it’s undeniably unsettling, it also somehow seems fitting.
I am saddened that the CG of my Alma Mater is being ordered to leave when the Mission is not complete. It is particularly egregious, to me, since I know he also went through Mackall.. Such a battle planning contingency was NEVER contemplated at Mackall. Never. Your azz would have been booted out. The POTUS Lead By Example sure has changed. I am old....
