Alternative Scenario: 46th President Joe Biden

So I wanted to make a “prediction” of what I believe will happen if Joe Biden becomes the 46th POTUS, and this is assuming he holds a full term and while I don’t want this to happen, this is my mostly unbiased approach to the scenario. Feel free to agree, argue scrutinize or support all you would like! That’s what we are here for.

I’ll do this in a semi timeline manner.
    -Biden wins on Election night.
Donald Trump will probably be outraged in whatever way he can, probably by Twitter, Democrats will be celebrating in the streets as there new era begins. Media will be on a frenzy to discover what Biden will do in the first 100 days. Biden will most likely be promising to reverse Trump era policies as a first priority.

-Biden prepares for his political agenda. Biden will first prepare to manage COVID if the situation is not already in control.
Second is the big on for every president. Biden will be working with Congress on his Tax plan while also figuring out how to appeal to voters by keeping taxes low, but also anticipating tax increases due to his pledges for Environmental reforms and potential “Free College“
3rd he will want to work with Progressives to find a compromise on Medicare/Medicaid reforms, most likely not free, but he will probably compromise and do what he can to reduce prices and red tape on such services.
4th is a bit dicey, the NRA likes to scream about Biden as gun grabbing and willing to do everything possible to limit the second amendment, but I haven’t seen much of that in Biden’s platform. So I think he might do some effort on Firearm reform but I do not believe it will be a forefront topic.

That’s all I have at the moment, and in all honesty, reading what I wrote as unbiased as possible, it doesn’t seem to harsh and I kept a really open mind while doing this and assuming that Biden has no ulterior motives.

You’re dreaming. Even when he had his mental faculties, Biden was never not a strong political presence. He was a back bencher who was never in a leadership role. Obama picked him for Vice President because he represented the old order and would placate voters who might not have been comfortable with an African-American President. At the same time, there was no way that Biden could ever show up Obama with his intellect.

If Biden is elected, all of the policy initiatives will come from Nancy Pelosi and the House. Since the Democrats will probably still control the House and have an excellent chance of grabbing the Senate because of the large number of Republican seats that up for election this year, they will get everything they want. Imagine everything they want, and they will get it. Open borders, “single payer” health care, free college, sky high taxes for “the wealthy,” draconian environmental policies and to top it off, citizenship and the vote for illegal aliens which will make this a one party country.

Add to that the move to defund the police departments. Crime is way up and growing. The Democrats don’t care about the violence in our cities. Some of them support it, and that is not an absurd statement.

All of this will be passed in the middle of the pandemic recession, which will double down on the economic hard times. When the country will need the entrepreneurial talents of every American, the Democrats will shut that down with taxes and regulations in the name of “fairness.”

This is not your grandfather’s Democrat Party which was centered around labor unions and working people. It is Marxist party that is eager to put their theories into practice.

Do you want to know how Venezuela went from one of the richest countries in South America with huge oil reserves to one of the poorest? Here in lies part of your answer.

I don't know if you have the priorities right or if these are the things Biden would would focus on in a Biden Administration. I think that these things are important to you and maybe that was what inspired your possible scenario. I guess we'll see.

If I have been paying attention to your upcoming trajectory correctly, won't you be in the military for the entire Biden Presidency? I ask because you didn't touch on what he might do as Commander-in-Chief of the military which will obviously impact you far more than any of us old dudes. How do you see a Biden Presidency using the U.S. Military over the next couple of years? Do you think you might be in more danger, less danger, about the same danger? In other words, what role do you think the military will play under a Biden Administration?

    Thanks

    I think that's a pretty good assessment.

Point 3: sadly I think it'll be less about compromise with progressives and more about compromise with moderate Republicans, especially if the Senate doesn't flip. In any case, there's no reason for him to appeal more to progressives once he's there. We had our chance to pull him left during the primaries.

Point 4: I expect some sensible gun reform laws, but I don't expect him to do anything drastic enough to stop mass shootings long term. Also, the NRA may be dissolved by next year, so that could help.

I'd also expect some election security legislation, probably just more funding to states along with guidelines and suggestions, I think that's about all the federal government can do for elections.

I also expect sanctions on countries currently and previously interfering in our election.

I think you’ve done pretty well, but I’ll add one major initiative . . . Green energy manufacturing.

This is not because of Joe’s passion for the green manufacturing sector . . . He truly has none . . . But because he’s been trapped into making that a cornerstone commitment. Don’t get me wrong . . . I don’t oppose the green manufacturing industry, but I do oppose scaling it prematurely, and that is precisely what we will get, because he must try to find a way to Rapidly generate employment while placating the extreme liberal cadre in his ear. It will be one big, bad roll of the American dice. Watch and whimper . . .

Imagine Biden doing what the Democrats want him to do. Oh, the shame. What kind of dumb ass criticism is that? Yes, we as Democrats would love to see the giant oil companies that have stifled competition, polluted the entire world, and bought more Republicans congressmen than anyone can possibly count be taken down and replaced with green energy alternatives. How awful of us.
