Yeah, I don't use that invasive "smart" crap. Some of our appliances are smart-compatible, and we just don't give it the advantage (as opposed to those users who claim they are taking full advantage).

The problem is that someone had to program that machinery to give those results. It's just a further example of the political bias displayed by Big Tech. Since this came to light, however, they've said they have re-programmed the responses. Well, no -edited- Sherlock! It never should have happened in the first place!

A glaring example of why everyone should fear the future of AI. We are not very far away from a time when AI becomes the primary teacher/trainer of AI. Once we enter this era the bias will become ingrained. Making it much harder to root out and fix. If it can be fixed. Some of the bias may be so subtle that it goes unnoticed for years. I am assuming there will always be a point in time where the exponential expansion of the bias will eventually exceed its engineering impact on the social norms of the majority.

We probably are still pretty far from that. If we hit it, ingrained biases will be the least of your concerns

In the meantime, let’s keep the biases out.

Let me help you out a little.

2 geographically separated but academically linked major U.S. Hospitals are employing AI in Neurosurgical training and implementation, inclusive of robotic assistance.

We are NOT "pretty far from that".

The Specialty is linked to your field of endeavor, is it not? And you do not know this?

Wrong . . . Ingrained biases are the very root of our greatest concerns. That they are ingrained in the minds of our youth - those whose programming skills gave birth to AI - is cause for the concerns expressed.

Amazon sucks, so I'm returning my inbound order, and from now on I'm doing my Christmas shopping early enough that I will no longer use them in last minute desperation at Christmas time (ordinarily, the only time I resort to using them).

ABC sucks, and I can't recall the last time I watched something on that worthless, has-been network.

Disney sucks, so my family doesn't buy their products anymore.

Microsoft sucks, so I now save all correspondence and all files to my local drive, instead of to the cloud (You know . . . that thing "that exists above us").

Faceplant sucks. They've never had an iota of my business, and never will.

Google sucks, so I use Firefox instead.

The whole liberal machine sucks . . . time to stop oiling it.
