While we sit and wring our hands over hurt feelings and such foolishness.... The big red dog is preparing for nuclear war. This story crossed my screen this morning and gave me the chills. Deep rooted fears that I haven't felt for almost fifty years. Our lawmakers had better get their heads out of the sand and pay attention.

Whether their rewritten burial standard is intended primarily to deal with COVID and not nuclear fallout, by tingeing the standard with references to radioactive cadavers - something one would opportunistically add to a mass-burial standard already being rewritten - the impression is certainly left on readers that Russian leaders feel ready to resort to nuclear war.

It's difficult to know whether they are playing chicken, or if this is really an increased threat, but I view it as no coincidence that offensive language seems very publicly coordinated across multiple agencies. Truly, a nation looking for the tactical advantage of first strike capability would want to conceal its intentions, and not be so openly advertising its increased willingness to resort to such actions.

Toward the end of the article there is a blurb about the Russian hockey team showing up for games replete in old Soviet uniforms. I would say that was a fairly strong message being sent. Putin sees the weakness and disarray that exists in our nation and is positioning himself to exploit the situation.

This whole situation is reminiscent of the Sudetenland takeover by Germany in 1938.
Russia is all but threatening war against NATO and specifically The USA if we do not fold our tent and back away. They push the thought that they have hyper-sonic missiles. I am sure hyper-sonic missiles exist within our weapons arsenal.
Russia is hurting from embargo's as well as economic problems. Considering the weak posture exhibited by the new administration, it seems perfect timing for the Russians to play a game of chicken.

    I fear for our country.

Biden is in the advanced stages of dementia so if the Russians (or China, North Korea, etc.) start posturing, we are in BIG trouble.

This administration can’t be bothered with such things. The progressive movement that guides this President and his policies could give a damn. Never forget this charming moment.

Biden is still steering the ship with the help of others. Anyone remember "Wrongway Peachfuzz"?

I don't remember him, but just looked him up . . . most fitting.
