Because of 'mandatory' spending ($2.3 trillion), Defense - which neither party seems to want to cut ($670 billion) and interest ($250 billion), the $3.8 trillion budget contains about $600 billion to haggle over for the entire rest of the government. I don;t call that nothing but our problems go much deeper than what can be solved by budget negotiations.

A big dent can be put in that budget by returning welfare rule to those adopted by Clinton, cutting unemployment back to pre-Obama levels, Cutting food stamps back to pre-Obama levels, etc. And another dent by halting Obamacare.
That really shows the insanity of the whole budgetary process. "Progressives" just want to keep running up the credit card and paint Republicans as "selfish" if they don't go along. Tea Party members are labelled as "Right-Wing Anarchists" if they try to avert the coming train wreck. This is simple, common sense...so why do you suppose "Progressives" are mindlessly heading down this path? Could it be that they believe enough tax revenues can be raised to pay for it all? Could it be that they plan to devalue the dollar enough to inflate our way out of this mess? Could it be that they believe eugenics (Obama-care) will reduce future demand? ...or do they see a Cuban/Venezuelan model of Nationalization as the answer? Please, Joe Nation, IQless...etc...please tell us your plan.
Pelosi isn't well liked by the rest of CA. Her district constitutes one of the wealthiest areas in the country. She's as out of touch with reality as Romney was.
She's the same idiot who believes increasing food stamps is a driver for our economy & told us, with a straight face, that we needed to pass Obamacare before we could know what was in it
