So now what tragedy will the GOP use to waste tax payer money and use to fund raise? Even the House Intelligence Committee dominated by Republicans has come to the same conclusions everyone else came to years ago. The committee concluded among other things.... "no one was deliberately misled, no military assets were withheld and no stand-down order (to U.S. forces) was given." Surprise, surprise!! Yet another setback for Benghazi conspiracy theorists 08/04/14 09:35 AM—UPDATED 08/04/14 09:40 AM By Steve Benen The House Intelligence Committee is among the many congressional panels to investigate the deadly attack on the U.S. outpost in Benghazi in 2012, and its findings are reportedly complete. The committee’s report is not yet available, but Rep. Mike Thompson (D-Calif.) talked to the San Francisco Chronicle about the results of the inquiry. The House Intelligence Committee, led by Republicans, has concluded that there was no deliberate wrongdoing by the Obama administration in the 2012 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, said Rep. Mike Thompson of St. Helena, the second-ranking Democrat on the committee. […] Thompson said the report “confirms that no one was deliberately misled, no military assets were withheld and no stand-down order (to U.S. forces) was given.” The committee agreed Thursday to declassify its report, nearly two years in the making, and the findings will reportedly be available to the public once it’s cleared by intelligence agencies. Just so we’re clear, this is a Republican-led committee, with GOP members outnumbering Democrats, 12 to 9. And according to the Chronicle’s report, the committee’s findings are consistent with everything reality has told us all along: “There was no ‘stand-down order’ given to American personnel attempting to offer assistance that evening, no illegal activity or illegal arms transfers occurring by U.S. personnel in Benghazi, and no American was left behind.” What’s more, the Obama administration’s process for developing “talking points” was “flawed, but the talking points reflected the conflicting intelligence assessments in the days immediately following the crisis.” It would appear some Republican lawmakers who’ve spent 23 months screaming the exact opposite owe the public an explanation for why they were wrong. Taken together, the deadly violence in Benghazi two years ago has now been investigated by the House Intelligence Committee, the Senate Intelligence Committee, the independent State Department Accountability Review Board, the Senate Armed Services Committee, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, the House Armed Services Committee, the House Committee on Oversight & Government Reform, and the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. How many of them uncovered evidence of a cover-up? None. It’s against this backdrop that House Republicans have decided what’s really needed is … another committee. It will cost taxpayers several million dollars, and according to the committee’s leadership, the goal is to ask questions that have already been answered.
In the Bagger faith The Bengahzi Coverup is dogma. Kind of like the Assumption of Mary is in Catholicism. No valid evidence for it is required. They feel it ought to be true, therefore it is true.
They're off preaching to the choir. The only ones who continue to pay any attention to them on this topic. It gets them nowhere with normal people anymore.
Ben-what you say? Keep raising money off of this tragedy. It's your only reason for interest in Ben-whatever.
Since when has marketing to the radical fringe ever been the sole domain of the left. Give the GOP it's due. They have wackos they can shake down, although not as many or as wealthy, but they're trying. As far as Benghazi goes, never assume malice when incompetence adequately explains the situation. You don't need a conspiracy theory to explain that.
In another thread I recently stated. I received this bit of "brilliance" as an answer. Somehow a guy in Indiana that openly dislikes Sarah Palin and what she stands for cost the Palin family money. UTTER RUBBISH! Conjecture, and frankly, downright stupidity to boot. Perhaps the fact that Mr. Palin had switched to Ski-Doo might have had some impact? If a professional basketball player does commercials for Nike is seen wearing a pair of Adidas it is a no no. Some may struggle with this reality I am sure. So on that note. Any "compadre" of mine that does NOT live in New Jersey, Alaska or Wisconsin for that matter has not cost the taxpayers of those states one stinking dime. Deal with it. I have the right to dislike these folks and express my opinion but ultimately it is the residents of those states that make the call. Now on a federal level. Well, kind of like what you and your "compadres" are doing with President Obama and Hillary Clinton. One BIG difference though. It DOES cost the taxpayers money. For real. How many millions of dollars is it now? If you are a taxpaying, American citizen it costs you money. You, me and you and you and you etc. All for political purposes. Damn shame.
