BO's Healthcare promises and deals

These issues have been mentioned in other threads but I haven't really heard what our lefty members think about such things as BOs promise to debate Healthcare publicly, the deals cut with Mary Landrieu and Ben Nelson, the lack of popular support and this latest deal exempting union members from certain taxes that everyone else has to pay?
Any thoughts?

 

No. There won't be any. Everybody supporting it knows nothing of the details that you have spelled out and inquired of them.

Healthcare bill = 'something' + B.O. wants = Good! Therefore, it must be passed and anyone against it is an idiot that doesn't care about the poor.

I guess you're right...even though the lib element has been active since I posed this question they, sadly, have chosen to ignore it (much like many of BO's flaws).

 

I think you managed to have all the libs leave this forum. Except maybe the guy who just wants to discuss 9/11.

 

You're not alone here, there are a bunch of lefties that pop in from time to time, on the rare occasion they have something to be proud of. I know none will respond to this thread..what can they say? How can they defend it?
Even the left wing standard bearers that visit the site are quiet?
Heck, it would even be entertaining to hear how tomc can blame this on Bush, some worldwide conspiracy or even corporate greed.

 

Maybe they arent reading this thread. Do you have as much disdain for the conservatives who were bribed into voting for this bill as you do for libs in this forum who dont rspond to this thread?

 

You will get no one to defend the healthcare spending, mandatory coverage, doctors mass exodus, debt raising, skyrocketing costs and plummeting services, government expansion....Whoooooow..got to come up for air.

They wont acknowledge or are to stupid to research the facts about "the louisianna purchase laundau" or "benidict nelson bend over cornhusker".

During my short time here I have found the liberals in this forum are nothing but snibbiling little ignorant morons.

The only way they could defend is by telling the truth that they want government to provide them healthcare because they are to lazy and trifling to get it on there own.....oh yeah while setting on their fat asses they will take those food stamps to trade for cigarettes and go pick up that free cheese down on the corner while they drive off with that stolen tank of gas....geeez.

I think that people that do not uphold and protect and defend the constitution might be happier elsewhere....say like russia, venazuala, france, etc.....you know those socialist leaning countries....only cotending it might be a better fit for them.

If health care passes you will see doctors retireing early and also those young students not persueing a medical career at all...those now doctors will try to find ways to help the sick without going through the massive red tape of government.

Now that aside (and I enjoyed it) I am disappointed with any "progress" in health care reform. Not so pleased with the way it's being handled either.

Promises aren't being followed through and deals are being struck. The deals part really doesn't surprise me all that much honestly as that's how it works and that's unfortunate but true.
Yes, I feel that I have been let down along with a lot of other Americans. Does that make you happy for some reason?

Meanwhile hard working people have no way to afford to go to a doctor. This one always gets me. While you're busy high fiving and hiney kissing good, productive people die.

This in mind, is it what you want for Americans? Isn't that hard to figure out that the longer the problem persists the more people get uneasy and angry.

Something you fellers have probably never really looked at is it? At some point it's going to have to change so I'll ask you this. No matter WHO accomplishes it how do you suggest they go about it?

I believe this country was founde on certain core values: rugged individualism, where you took care of yourself and your family and didnt depend on anyone or any government to take care of you and made the best of yourself and your situation.

I expect the government to get the hell out of my way, get the f**k out of my pockets. put everybody on a level playing field and let your dreams become ideas, use your God given talents and lots of hard work(sorry you deadbeats) and be the best you can be without the restrictions of government weighting me down.

My parents and parents before and before them made it without all the entitlement programs providing every damn pill they took.

You feel let down now and not provided for now, wait till the government tells you where to s**it and how high to pile it, and you might wish things would of been done differently.
