To paraphrase Larry Holmes...neither Obama or McCain could carry Powell's jockstrap.

Sorry for the misspelling. Remember , Leiberman became a independent because the democratic party demonstrated to him time and time again that it does not have the will nor resolve to fight and defend the United States from its enemies...hence the reason why he left the DNC after democratic voters in CT (during the CT senate primaries) made it their #1 issue to surrender and NOT take the fight to people that wish us dead.

Think about it...a democratic VP candidate only 8 years removed endorses a republican for President...and then speaks on his behalf at the RNC convention.

Talk about putting country first instead of political idealogies. Leiberman's actions just confirms that the democratic party has forgotten that the President's first and foremost job is "to protect and defend the United States"...not redistribute wealth from producers/workers to those that depend on government for their existance.

I remember the Ford and Carter election of 1976. This election reminds me of those two losers...BUT 10X worse!

Think about it...would you have imagined 2 years ago that B. O. and McCain would be representing their parties?

Sure B.O. gave a great speech during the 2004 DNC, but did anybody really think the democrats would nominate this socialized loser? Shoot, if a republican hung out and had friends like B.O., the media would be having a field day! Even Hillary pointed this out...but wait! You cannot criticize a person of color because you will be considered a racist.

And what about McCain? Did anybody in the RNC really think he had a chance against Rudy and the others? BTW...Rudy was my first choice because he "gets it" against our foreign enemies and if he could do what he did for NYC, this country would be WAY better off!

Well...There sure must of have been some backroom deals that gave us these two losers.

What a sad state for our country. :(

I too look forward to seeing what role Colin will play in Barrack's Administration. :D I think Colin would be an awesome Abassador to the United Nations!

Not to sound like a sycophant but you come off as a pretty grounded guy, consice, to the point, not on the stump or on a crusade though you certainly seem to have strong beliefs and are well informed, right leaning but at least you dont come off as nut job, you seldom use 'tactics' and never get abusive. Probably something the rest of us could aspire to when it come to forum etiquite.

It is nothing special, my outlook may just come from knowing that there is no way the Presidential candidate I am voting for will win any state. Kind of like being a die hard Chicago Cubs fan. I know my team doesn't stand a chance of winning the big one but I still go to the game. ;)
