Here is an example of MSNBC's slant on the news. Granted, they apologized, but this is so over the top it would be funny were they not serious.

MSNBC daytime anchor Thomas Roberts seized on Mitt Romney's use of the phrase "Keep America American." The network claimed the phrase plays homage to the Ku Klux Klan slogan of "Keep America American." According to left-leaning news outlets, the "Keep America American" expression was apparently used by the KKK in the early 1900s.

I've been watching some Russian broadcasts... they are more honest about issues in America than any of the news coming from America. I also tried the Chinese broadcasts but they give me a headache lol

Sure, if you want to go to our adversaries for "honest" reporting about how America has failed as a nation, then you can find all the muck you care to rake.

Can you imagine Fox apologizing for anything they say on a daily basis? Me either.

You are most-likely pre-judging them based on your negative perception of Communism. "Our adversaries" is an indication of that mentality, and that means you are less open to opposing view-points. That's not healthy.

I try to take into account their (the Russian) bias and judge the information they broadcast based on my personal knowledge of the subject. Most American's patriotism prevents that type of mentality to flourish though, so you are not alone in pre-judging something you have been taught to hate outright.

Be careful of supporting blind-patriotism, doing so may create another situation like what we had in Iraq.

The only news program that I have found that seems to be politically neutral is the Jim Lehrer News Hour on PBS. It brings in people from both sides of the issue at the same time and discusses the issues. Now the typical networks do not seem to do that because they are either conservative or liberal.

Which part do you disagree with?: (and I'll make it easier for you to respond by spreading the questions out)

The idea that people in America view communism negatively?

Therefore, the idea that a Russian news program, and it's stories, must be pre-judged as lies, without any knowledge of the what was broadcast?

That doing so (pre-judging) is unhealthy?

That those stories, using your own personal knowledge of the subject as a filter, might be more accurate than what American-based reporting is?

That blind-American patriotism allowed for the Bush, Jr. administration to invade Iraq?

    Be specific please...and... let's do this t'ing. :D

MSNBC has Sharpton who used to lead race riots in NYC where people were burned to death and beaten to death in the streets. Does anyone else remember his jumpsuit days.
MSNBC has that the former New York Governor Spitzer who was caught with an escort girl which would not be that bad except when he was DA they used to put people in jail for that never mind any organized crime ties and overlap.
I would go on but why..those who love MSNBC would march to the drummer crops of Hitler or finger people for the East German police or would work for Stalin.
Blinded by the leftist preaching. Sieg Heil to the most evil newscasters on the face of the planet/

Many of the outspoken libs on MSNBC also pop up on NBC news as "analysts"...is there any chance Andrea Mitchell or Chuck Todd could by unbiased reporters as NBC tries to portray them?

Now let me guess. Americans view communism negatively. Did it ever cross you mind that there just might be a reason for that? "It is believed that with the purges, forced famines, state terrorism, labor camps, and forced migrations, Stalin was responsible for the death of as many as 40 million people within the borders of the Soviet Union." Is that positive? Ask the Polish what they think of communism. Ask the Hungarians what they think of communism. Ask the Estonians what they think of communism. Ask the Letts what they think of communism. Need I go on?

That all you got? "Yeah, Communism bad!"? Not unexpected of course. Of course ...you missed the fact that your quote stated that Stalin was responsible, not communism itself. And guess what, parts of communism are everywhere, in American public policies even... maybe even ...LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU! .....IT"S COMMUNISM! ...........RUUUUUNNNNNN!!!

...I don't have to run ...'cause I'm less ignorant :D

If you are so enamored by it, go. A small boat should get you to Cuba and then you can live your dream. Hey! You will even get your "ideal" medical system. Too bad you won't be able to post anything here about it.

I don't need to leave... it's everywhere, including here in America. :D

What I'm saying is that viewing any form of government as bad, because a man (or rulers) did bad things, is ignorant. Some of America's rulers did bad things too afterall ...so should capitalism also be considered bad? Another point I'm trying to get across is that all governments have an element of communism in them, and so do their people's. Hating the idea of communism is absurd when you realize the fact that it is present in our daily lives.

But I accept that people can't change. Like the Republican husband who, after losing his $50,000+ job... and his wife losing her job as well, had to accept food-stamps for a while to provide food for their two kids... yet, while watching McCain speak about socialism, said something along the lines of "I agree! The government has no business giving people welfare! It's not needed 'cause if you have a need, the community will help you through it." ...or somesuch.

A community providing help to those in need? Sounds like communism to me! :D

BTW, telling people who disagree with you politically to leave the country is typical ...of people who refuse to see another's pov in a healthy way. Some might call it unreasonable.

It had nothing to do with our political disagreements , but your apparent love of the alternative. And since each is basically set on the other's elimination, it must mean you dislike of our system.

When has communism ever worked? It's only appeal is to those who wish to be taken care of by a nanny state.
