If you look at how the conversation above started, it was about the national debt. Nobody said anything about percent of GDP, it was stickly an increase in the size of the national debt. Obama has increased it less than other presidents because he has only been able to put his name on one budget so far. But, saying that "BO has the largest growth and the second largest growth" as you have said is nonsense. How can you compare his one budget against all other presidents but then chide me for doing it as well?

 

I realize that was a mixture of fact and spin, but it is a fact that the president does not pass any budget and the dips did control congress at that time and BO was one of them.

As for your reference, it is not current and does not include anything about BO. It does not even include all of Bush II's years. However, it does present an interesting fact. Reagan only increased spending 10.8% (your math i.e. averaging 14.4% and 7.4%) during his 2 terms.
