I guess that's lights out for the Cain campaign

I imagine that I was not alone in feigning ignorance for comedic effect. But, no, it is not too early. In fact, if one is already reading this forum, it is probably a bit late for it. lol

 

New twist to the Cain campaign. The Big Guy in the Sky has spoken. Herman Cain is the anointed one. We now have it from no less an authority than Herman Cain himself that God told Herman Cain to run. I think this pretty much settles it least as far as I'm concerned. The ageless all-knowing all-powerful creator of all that is, has been, and every will be, Amen, has made His pick for the 2012 Republican ticket known and I'll not second guess Him.

I'm not much of a Bible-thumper myself (with all due respect to those who are), being raised Catholic and being Easter Orthodox by choice, but let's not confuse the will of God with the vanity of human beings who claim to be sent by Him.

In addition God told him to run. Was that the same God that told Perry and Bachmann? If so God has one hell of a sense of humor.

So God tells you to run as well as a few others. Reminds me of a line from a Dire Straits tune. Couldn't ask for a more appropriate name in this case. "Two men say they're Jesus one of them must be wrong".

OK, I know it's not God but last I heard Jesus was related to Him. As for Dire Straits? The GOP and their nominees seem to fit the bill at this point when their most likely nominee is a Mormon. I would call this dire straits.

 

I really know nothing about Cain other then the name reference in the bible. Seems like he killed the chance of having two black men running for president against each other and it would be interesting to see how either party tried to play the race card.. Like your play on words with using Dire Straits. The Republicans may just lose a sure win. I really think a large enough percentage will never accept a morman at this time and as you know it does not take much to lose a swing state. never mind independents viewing him as status quo and part of the problem.
