Quite the contrast in ability when pandering doesn't get in the way of selecting the most qualified . . .
I don't think it should be controversial to say sitting senators being denied access to government buildings by private military mercenaries is bad.
And I don't think an independent audit of the USAID and all gov't funded ABC agencies should be a sticking point for anyone on either side of the aisle. Unless of course they have something to hide. Hell, we can now be audited for transactions over $600. And we're supposed to sit back after hearing about the grift going on for decades and do and say nothing? These bureaucrats MUST remember, they report to We The People, not the other way around. And when the checks are written for millions of dollars to fund ridiculous non USA DEI, woke initiatives, (let me know if you really need me to list the plethora of them), it should be bipartisan rousing applause for DOGE. Not utter silence about the wasteful spending and only focusing on who is performing the audit, Musk. You really don't see the true problem here?
It's not the audit itself I take issue with, it's the lack of transparency and unilateral shutdown of funds appropriated by congress. Or do you not believe in power of the purse anymore? And then it's so secret that they have to hire mercs to keep congresspeople out of government buildings they have every right to enter.
If the appropriations were funding the grift in Congress then not only should it stop instantaneously, but those perpetrating the grift should be impeached, tried, found guilty, sentenced, and put in prison. And that goes for both sides of the aisle. I don't believe for one second this is a partisan crime. I'm very confident both sides are guilty of the same thing. I know MANY people who earn $175k/yr. It takes a long time for most to amass net worths in the $2mm to $5mm range. These members of Congress look at that net worth after a couple years in office. High 8 to 9 figure net worth is common amongst the most flagrant abusers of the system. And that right there is the problem. Its been the 'system' for far too many decades. So I'm a bipartisan, put them all away, if guilty, voter.
But there are legal processes to do this. You risk letting them get away with it when you take shortcuts.
I outlined the legal process. I'm pretty sure you read what I wrote. Just to reiterate, "those perpetrating the grift should be impeached, tried, found guilty, sentenced, and put in prison". As for stopping the payments instantaneously, I stand by that. I don't see how ceasing those payments when discovered and identified would allow them to 'get away with it'.
It's circumventing congress to usurp the power of the purse. Furthermore, the evidence of "crimes" if there are any is being messed with in real time. Personally I just see Musk's process as people with no idea what they're doing messing with stuff. Not unlike his twitter takeover, where he infamously walked into twitter and started unplugging servers. That's just how he operates. He's lucky he's wealthy enough to have competent cleaners follow him around.
Trump is treating parts of what he is doing like running a business. He is the current CEO of the USA. We the people are the shareholders, and in November the majority spoke. Any business that conducted their affairs and finances the way this country has would cease to exist. Donald Trump and everyone underneath him who supports his vision understands that. @GeneWright said “Personally I just see Musk's process as people with no idea what they're doing messing with stuff. Not unlike his twitter takeover, where he infamously walked into twitter and started unplugging servers. That's just how he operates. He's lucky he's wealthy enough to have competent cleaners follow him around.” What an absolutely moronic thing to say. You’re on that bandwagon, that Elon is stupid, huh? Did twitter cease to function after his takeover? Is it no longer in operation? To my recollection, the only thing that ceased to function on the platform was the left wing bias and right wing censorship. Cleaners following him around?? He IS the cleaner.
A country is not a business. Nor should it be. Do you use Twitter? I did for years but finally jumped ship a few months ago. It absolutely got worse under him. It's down frequently, app is a mess, bot problem worse than ever.
It's circumventing the process to usurp the will of the people. They are merely representatives . . .
Then what should be done to thwart the waste and corruption? I have a bit of an issue with 34mm of my hard earned money going to support Politico. If the tables were turned and you saw millions of federal funds going to support Fox news, I can be sure that you wouldn't be pleased about that. Nor would I.... And the heck of it is that we are only three weeks on. How deep does the filth run? Oh heck no. This may not be a business but it sure as hell is my money. Kick over those money changing tables. The left needs to hush and go to washing the egg off their faces. Y'all are on the wrong side of this one.
It's refreshing to see President Trump come in and actually take a wrecking ball to the waste, fraud and abuse that had been piled on the backs of Americans during the Biden administration. Killing DEI at its very core is a wonderful start, but so much more liberal crap has to be dismantled. I used to say "it will take time", but the way it's going, it won't take much time at all. I'm enjoying seeing America being made great again! And so quickly.......!
I know the private contractor that YOU keep calling Mercs. They are contractors to private and government identities so stop gaslighting… Just stop and educate yourself. The congress has the power of the purse to allocate money to the federal agencies. Under whose authority are the federal agencies under?
You're right, a business makes money with revenue to sustain its existence and fuel growth. The US makes zero revenue. The ONLY money they have is OUR taxes. We The People should be incensed, outraged, infuriated at the exposed wasteful, wanton, irresponsible spending of OUR tax dollars. The fact that y'all are deflecting the blame for this abuse is a surefire way for 2028 to go exactly as 2024 went. Bottom line, I have no problem whatsoever with your side of the aisle continuing doing what you're doing. We all know the definition of insanity.
