Last U.S. Combat Troops Leave Iraq This Evening 8/18/2010

This WAS a war of choice that made Iran's hand even stronger. Iran no longer has to fight wars inside of it's borders, it can supply the Taliban with weapons to kill US soldiers and supply the insurgents in Iraq with weapons to kill US soldiers without having to get their hands dirty. Nice going Bush! Thank God both the Irani people and the Afghans love us so much or this would be a total disaster...Oh wait...

 

My daughter is now in Pakistan doing " humanitarian work " for people who want to kill her. She is a freakin Navy officer. This is F'd up bigtime.

 

Jack, I hope that your daughter makes it through her time there safe and sound. I have a good friend that gives me weekly updates from her 19-year old son that just got shipped off to Kandahar. He goes out on foot patrols and talks to villagers that lie to him when he asks about IEDs that were planted right in front of their homes to try and kill US soldiers. He can't leave his base and can't even jog around the base. The explosions don't even make him look up anymore. The locals hate the US soldiers but smile and wave as they go by. This situation is never going to be resolved with bullets unless we exterminate the current population and start over. I doubt that will be our strategy. It is F'ed up.

 

I didn't trust any of the Afghanis as far as I could throw them.

 

For those who care to look, my daughter is the Cheif Supply Officer aboard the USS Ponce. It is designed to remove tired troops and deliver fresh ones to warzones.....

The only STEAM ship left in the US Navy, a very old ship. The plan to evacuate " tired troops " from Iraq was changed last week, mid voyage......They sent her to fooking pakistan

I'm not going to rant political here, but just as a parent, this sucks.....I would so much rather have her at sea than on the ground.

 

Now here is were I have a BIG Problem why the hell do we (By we I mean the US & UK) send our troops in to do aid work for people who realy would like to kill us? and also why do we keep sending them aid? niether of our countries can realy afford it so why the hell do it!!
Jack you rant all you want she shoudnt be there simple as that.
