Thanks David. Coming from you this means SO LITTLE to me.

100X worse? Maybe you should do some math here and if you ever get brave enough explore REALITY.

You seem to be repeating the word "reality" quite a bit lately. here's a bit of "reality" for you:
Under BO unemployment is higher, gas prices are higher, our credit rating was downgraded, our debt has exploded & people are worse off than before he took over. That's reality. BO has rewared his biggest donors with billions of taxpayer dollars and now we are seeing that money simply disappearing. That's reality. BO's only vision for the country is to put off any major decisions until after the next election & try to blame others for his failures. That's reality.

Now what was that you were saying?

Obama is the President, and you don't like him, to me that's a reality. My reality also includes how things got this bad, what Obama inherited, what circumstances were/are present. I look at what Obama did after he became President, what he could have done, what he didn't do. Overall, I'm very happy he became the President, though I wouldn't agree with all of his policies.

So yes, technically what you said is true for the most part (unemployment possibly being an exception), that under Obama's Presidency things got bad, but the way you say it sounds like you're blaming the President for what happened, when my reality is telling me these things would have happened under any President... including McCain if he had won. McCain, IMO, wouldn't have done any better... and most likely would have done far worse as President.

The President's first year or two was a flurry of activity, only stalling after the Republican's gained a majority in the House. Once they did the President attempted to compromise with the House, as he should ...since they now represented a majority and differing view-point. The Republicans in the House though wanted little to no compromise, and it remains that way to today.

I think we can agree that every economic indicator is worse today than when BO took over?
Would you honestly have voted for BO if you had known every economic indicator would get progressively worse?
Can you honestly vote for BO again given the results of his visions & policies?

If you were an employer & hired someone to turn around an underachieving segment of your business and the performance of that segment only worsened how long would you keep that employee around?

I think this post is deserving of a more detailed response, sentence by sentence. Why? Eh... I feel like it lol

Yes, with the possible exception of the unemployment rate. I'm not certain how they'd compare, but even that isn't the point.

The point is that whoever the current President is today ...Obama, McCain, or someone else entirely... the economic indicators would be just as bad as they are under Obama... or worse. I have no faith that McCain had the capability to do better than Obama. I believe he is inept, and I am grateful he did not win.

Again, you are working on the principal that Obama is at fault. I know otherwise. Note that I said know rather than believe? It's a significant difference, and is meant to explain how certain I am. I also knew America, and the World in general, would be in this situation... it's not that difficult to predict afterall. The "housing bubble" burst (something I've known was a near-certainty for decades, unless smart people managed to convince those in power how to avoid the problem), the economy was collapsing, Donald Trump went shirtless... these things have predictable impacts, and nothing so far has surprised me.

But yes, I absolutely would have voted for Obama. In fact, knowing what was coming, I intentionally did vote for him... because I knew he was far more competant, and understood the issues we'd soon be facing as a country, far better than McCain.

Yep. I haven't seen any of the Republicans show any better capability to be President. He's the person I want, since I know he has a better grasp of our current issues.
That depends on circumstances. My grasp of the situation, what I specifically wanted the person to do, what I thought might be impossible for that person to achieve...all that and more would be spelled-out with the person before the person was hired.

There is such a thing as a dumb manager you know... ...A manager who hired (and fired) someone under your scenario, obviously doesn't fully understand the situation and should be fired for incompetance.

David a simple question for you would unemployment and other economic factors have got better in the US had John McCain taken the Presidency? If so how would that have happend, the world economy went into meltdown and is still teetering yet all you can do is blame President Obama Try been honest here and spread the blame around to the multitude of other elected officials (yes I include both parties) who pass the laws and make policy

I love it when people say one politician is a hypocrite. Don't you think that every politician is a hypocrite, no matter what party they are from? Come on, I could point out hypocrisy in every politician. Can't you?
