First you have B.O. afraid to use the word "terrorist" when fighting these animals, then you have B.O. offering constitional rights to these muslim animals, then you have B.O. that wants to try muslim jihadists in a U.S. court room...but this takes the cake!!

Navy SEALs Face Assault Charges for Capturing Most-Wanted (Islamic) Terrorist

Wednesday, November 25, 2009 - By Rowan Scarborough

Navy SEALs have secretly captured one of the most wanted (islamic) terrorists in Iraq — the alleged mastermind of the murder and mutilation of four Blackwater USA security guards in Fallujah in 2004. And three of the SEALs who captured him are now facing criminal charges.

The three, all members of the Navy's elite commando unit, have refused non-judicial punishment — called a captain's mast — and have requested a trial by court-martial.

Ahmed Hashim Abed, whom the military code-named "Objective Amber," told investigators he was punched by his captors — and he had the bloody lip to prove it.

Now, instead of being lauded for bringing to justice a high-value target, three of the SEAL commandos, all enlisted, face assault charges and have retained lawyers.

Matthew McCabe, a Special Operations Petty Officer Second Class (SO-2), is facing three charges: dereliction of performance of duty for willfully failing to safeguard a detainee, making a false official statement, and assault.

Petty Officer Jonathan Keefe, SO-2, is facing charges of dereliction of performance of duty and making a false official statement.

Petty Officer Julio Huertas, SO-1, faces those same charges and an additional charge of impediment of an investigation.

Neal Puckett, an attorney representing McCabe, told news sources the SEALs are being charged for allegedly giving the detainee a “punch in the gut.”

“I don’t know how they’re going to bring this detainee to the United States and give us our constitutional right to confrontation in the courtroom,” Puckett said. “But again, we have terrorists getting their constitutional rights in New York City, but I suspect that they’re going to deny these SEALs their right to confrontation in a military courtroom in Virginia.”

The three SEALs will be arraigned separately on Dec. 7. Another three SEALs — two officers and an enlisted sailor — have been identified by investigators as witnesses but have not been charged.

For you liberal and appeasing bleeding hearts out there, I sure hope you are happy. It is YOUR political correctness that will destroy this country!

I hope they have a legal defense fund because I surely will make help make sure these SEALS are not only aquitted, but given a hero's welcome for capturing these muslim terrorists.

I'm far, far from a bleeding heart liberal, but what's surprising about this? How is it any different than police brutality that everybody gets up in arms about? This isn't the 1940s anymore where things were done and people looked the other way. Don't you expect some sort of professionalism out of these people? Ok, they captured the guy. That's great. But then to beat him up while probably handcuffed?? Whether the guy deserved it or not....was it really necessary? In your book should they be allowed to just slap him a few times? Each one deserves to give him a good hard punch to the gut and one to the face? Or should they be allowed to pummel a captured, defenseless, person half to death before turning him over? Where do you draw the line? Do you feel we should hold the military to any type of standards of conduct?

Maybe this punishment does sound harsh but that's the day and age we live in. You've got to use your head. Apparently these guys did not.

At least we won that war during the 1940's (World War II).

Our G.I.'s did whatever it took to win...I would encourage all to watch World War II in HD on the History Channel so that you can appreciate what and WHY we fought as we did. It will give you a better understanding that you can't fight a poltically correct war.

Can't say we will win this one. I bet muslim jihadists are laughing at all of this politcall correctness.

I don't think beating up a prisoner during transport is really a politically correctness issue nor do I think it is doing whatever it takes to win.

Maybe there is more to the situation than you have posted but, being former military, it sounds more to me like a lack of control issue or a lack of discipline issue. Certainly a lack of professionalism issue.

Ya couldnt do it huh? Couldnt hold off one day. Our G. I.s didnt do whatever it took. They didnt shoot German POWs like the Nazis did to Americans who surrendered.. They didnt massacre civilians like the Japanese did. They tried to act humanely in the middle of inhumanity.
Wasnt there something about General Patton having to apologize for slapping a soldier? Wasnt that a form of political correctness? The 'punch in the gut' probably happens alot over there. But it seems these guys tried to cover it up, and lied to thier superiors. Is that part ok with you? And you know what a Captian's mast is? Or An Article 15? Its a slap on the wrist. Maybe 15 days restriction and some loss of pay. They eschewed that choice for some reason and now they face brig time and a dishonorable discharge. And all they had to do was to bring the guy in. Instead they beat him up for laughs. Why wasnt the murder of blacktwater employees a civil matter to be handled by Iraqi police? Ya know the ends never justify the means, Ever. Only a retard would think it would be ok for us to act like bloodthirsty savages ''this one time'', till we win. If it makes you feel any better, I heard the military is still holding the guy.

Midas if they have Secretly captured someone then how come you are reporting it here?? Not very secret is it LOL also again what part of the American Constitution says they cant punch a prisoner? There will be a Law that says it (a Millitary one as well as a Civilian one) Now if they lied to a supirior then that is also a Offence (Well in the British Army it is) You do not hit a Prisoner for no reason, I dont care what they have done you do not allow yourselfs to sink to there level.
Perhaps you would like to see mass executions for every one of our soldiers killed? If you can not obay simple service regs then you have no place in the services.
