Metal Detecting???

I also have a metal detecter. It's a Bouty Hunter Quick Draw 2.I got it 3 months ago. My house is 105 years old and I'm not finding any old coins.Plus before I bought it,I found out that a rich couple lived there.The last thing was a 1953 Canadian coin.That was the only thing I was happy with. Can anyone give me any helpful ideas. Thanks B12
