I bet we hear from Aiden who will notice that some priest in Italy said he and Foley had been lovers way back when Foley was a teenager. Well Foley said he had been abused, and no body believed him. Guess he told the truth this time, if you believe the reports coming out of Italy.
In 1989, the boyfriend of Representative Barney Frank (D-Ma) was caught running a male prostitution ring out of the home he and the Congressman shared. This was, then and now, illegal in the District of Columbia. Yet Mr. Frank still sits in Congress. In 1995 & 96, a Democratic President had sex with a subordinate, and lied in court about it. Any half-decent lawyer could tell you those acts are illegal (guess that means the two lawyers in the Clinton family don't add up to a half-decent one). The senior senator from Massachusetts is a serial adulterer (and a possible murderer). Mark Foley (R-Fl) shared icky (I've read them - ugh) sexual emails with a page. Guess who the Dems think is a bigger shame?
do you think it was only emails? (as for the other stuff, I am not concerned with concenting ADULTS but Pubs obviously do not make that distinction.
Danr, what do you mean, you're not "concerned with consenting adults"? This has nothing to do with "consenting adults" 1. Prostitution is illegal in every state of the Union, except certain parts of Nevada. Consenting or not, it's illegal. 2. Bill Clinton committed perjury. That's a crime. It has nothing to do with "consenting adults". 3. Ted Kennedy allowed Mary Jo Kopechne to die a horrible death because he was too drunk and too much of a coward to save her. Again, it has nothing to do with "consenting adults". The point is, generally speaking, Democrats are lax in condemning their own. But, when it comes to Republicans, the Democrats point their finger quicker than anyone I know. "People who live in glass houses..." as the saying goes.
I don't know if it was "only e-mails" and until the entire story is told, to consider otherwise is simply conjecture. You might as well ask (pertaining to Bill Clinton), "Was it only a cigar" or "Was it only Acapulco Gold you didn't inhale"? Or for that matter, you might as well ask Clinton, "Was it consensual or was it rape as Kathleen Willey stated"?
where all the dems condemning Foley (link) prostitution is generally a misdemenor Clinton's case was pursued as part of a land deal where he lost money (inproper prosecution) Kennedy's ACCIDENT was not an intentional act (it reflects poorly on you when you bring it up). the Kennedy incident was 40 years ago and has been brought up frequently since then, maybe we should treat the Foley incident the same way.
