Polls? Are they running for Prom King or something? We do not have direct elections.

 

Execellent news Mr Nation !!!!! Go back to 1979 and look at Carters polls, he was killing Reagan in the polls up until about 10 days before the vote.

Polls schmools....I give zero credence to polls. Poll Fox news viewers, Romney will be up double digits. Polls MSNBC viewers, Obama would be up by 30 points.

I do agree tho, unseating an incumbent is VERY difficult..........A ROmney win will be an upset and not likely to happen.

 

I agree that polls can be made to reflect any result you want. There are some reputable pollster out there but the only polls that have been getting any press are the ones that show the two candidate in a dead heat. I heard one intelligent media wonk say that they race isn't nearly as close as the major media outlets say it is. The only reason they report such a close race is because if they said it was a run away for either candidate nobody would pay any attention to the election and they would lose their viewers/readers.

I don't think Romney has a chance. The guy is so out of touch with every aspect of the average person's life. He can't say two words off script without getting a mouth full of his own foot. He is so managed and handled that the problem is only getting worse. The man is afraid to take a stand or articulate a position on any issue without consulting seven polls, the teavangelical crowd and wall Street and still he dodges. Doesn't stand a chance.

 

I remember some predictions about Scott Walker that didn't come true...
