Newt. Non Adultery. Take Four.

Well it seems Newt has committed to being a non alduterer again. For the FOURTH time. Three strikes yer out Newt but I'm sure it gives his wife a big confidence boost. He's committed to her twice and Iowa once. Gotta be sincere.

One has to wonder why there is such a fascination with Gingrich's sex life. It's kinda... weird.

 

I don't think it's that odd, but to me it's an indication of his personal character and that it is so known makes me wonder how much of that behavior is present in his professional, and/or political character. Does he treat the women he works with in a manner he shouldn't? Would he behave properly when he greets foreign dignitaries as President? Since I wouldn't be voting for him I can't say I'm looking into it that much. Republicans can make their own choice on whether or not to pay attention to his personal, professional, and political life.

 

I heard the other day that if Obama wins re-election in 2012, Michelle will be the First Lady again. What will Callista Gingrich be if Newt wins in 2012.............The Third wife! Well unless she gets cancer between now and 2012 anyway.

 

I think of it more as his serial monogamy. It kind of says something about his character which is what the entire primary process is really about.

....but Bill Clinton's lying, cheating, predatory behavior while in the WH is perfectly acceptable to the left & no one's business?

 

So, he had an affair and got remarried a few times. ** yawn **. When did this become news? What does that say about his character? That he finally found happiness in a partner?

 

I think it became news when Clinton did it and Newt did everything he could to bring Clinton down for lying about it. Payback is a B****

 

If Clinton's behavior is none of our business (as you have said many times), why does Newt's behavior register on your outrage scale? Is it false outrage or hypocrisy?

 

Bill was CONVICTED of lying about it. And Newt, uhm, has admitted it. Just ask Martha and Bill where lying will get you.

Now, can you explain why you have said Clinton's personal life was none of our business yet Newt's seems to be a big deal for you?

 

He is a Republican.

 

To me personally, what anyone does sexually is their own business. That Newt is under the microscope is more of a Republican thing, though the Democrats don't mind the Republicans putting Newt under the microscope... they do enjoy watching him squirm.

That Clinton had sexual liasons during his Presidency wasn't an issue for me, but again... the Republicans had an issue with it and enjoyed watching him squirm.

Clinton was also the defendant in lawsuits resulting from his heightened libido, and testimony was forced out of him (how I'm not sure, legally he should have been allowed to remain mute on the issue as all defendants usually have that right). This forced testimony led to Clinton making a choice on whether or not to lie. He chose the lie, and was almost impeached for it.

My view is he was forced to lie about his sexual liasons, as a means to remove him, by Republicans. Yes, he lied... but he lied about his sex life... so if you're gonna say a person's sex-life shouldn't be under scrutiny, then why rag on Clinton's promiscuity? The answer is: It's a Republican issue.

 

Beat me to it by two minutes lol ...in my defense I had a lot of writing and what my typing teacher used to call "stupid fingers". I hated that woman.

 

Yeah, I believe that it was Perry that brought this up in the last debate. Or maybe it was Romney. I've really lost interest.
