Obama has classic narcissist personality

(This was a great writeup I found. Absolutely nails it. I can't wait to hear the excuses fly after this one.)

Subject: Read and file for 2 years - then read again
This is from VADM Rex Rectanus, former Director of Navy and
    Defense Intelligence.

Dr. Sam Vaknin's analysis of Senator Obama is an apt
description and similar to mine. This is much more serious
than a usual presidential election. I've had hopes that
our normal set of checks and balances could control this
    guy.

Understanding Obama: The Making of a Fuehrer
    By Ali Sina

I must confess, I was not impressed by Sen. Barack Obama
from the first time I saw him. At first I was excited to
see a black candidate. He looked youthful, spoke well,
appeared to be confident, a wholesome presidential package.
I was put off soon, not just because of his shallowness but
also because there was an air of haughtiness in his
demeanor that was unsettling. His posture and his body
language were louder than his empty words. Obama's
speeches are unlike any political speech we have heard in
American history. Never a politician in this land had such a
quasi "religious" impact on so many people.
The fact that Obama is a total incognito with zero
accomplishment makes this inexplicable infatuation alarming.

Obama is not an ordinary man. He is not a genius. In fact,
he is quite ignorant on most important subjects. Barack
Obama is a narcissist. Dr. Sam Vaknin, the author of
"Malignant Self Love," also says, "Barack
Obama appears to be a narcissist."

Vaknin is a world authority on narcissism.. He understands
it and describes the inner mind of a narcissist like no
other person. When he talks about narcissism everyone
listens. Vaknin says that Obama's language, posture,
and demeanor, and the testimonies of his closest, nearest
and dearest suggest that the Senator is either a narcissist
or he may have narcissistic personality disorder (NPD).

Narcissists project a grandiose but false image of
themselves. Jim Jones, the charismatic leader of
People's Temple, the man who led over 900 of his
followers to cheerfully commit mass suicide and even murder
their own children was also a narcissist. Charles Manson,
Joseph Koni, Shoko Asahara, Joseph Stalin, Saddam, Mao
Zedong, Kim Jong IL, and Adolph Hitler are a few examples
of narcissists of our time. All these men had a tremendous
influence over their fanciers and followers. They created a
personality cult around themselves, and with their blazing
speeches elevated their admirer's souls, filled their
hearts with enthusiasm and instilled in their minds a new
zest for life. Those men gave their followers hope! They
promised them the moon, but alas, they invariably brought
them to their doom. When you are a victim of a cult of
personality, you don't know it until it is too late.

One determining factor in the development of NPD is
childhood abuse. "Obama' s early life was
decidedly chaotic and replete with traumatic and mentally
    bruising dislocations," says Vaknin. "Mixed-race
marriages were even less common then. His parents went
through a divorce when he was an infant (two years old).
Obama saw his father only once again, before he died in a
car accident. His mother re-married and Obama had to
relocate to Indonesia, a foreign land with a radically
foreign culture, to be raised by a stepfather. He was raised
as an only child, full of himself and no others. He never
had to share the spotlight with any siblings. At the age of
ten, he was whisked off to live with his maternal (white)
grandparents. He saw his mother only intermittently in the
following few years and then she vanished from his life in
1979. She died of cancer in 1995."

One must never underestimate the manipulative genius of
pathological narcissists. They project such an imposing
personality that it overwhelms those around them. Charmed by
the charisma of the narcissist, people become like clay in
his hands. They cheerfully do his bidding and delight to be
at his service. The narcissist shapes the world around him
and reduces others in his own inverted image. He creates a
cult of personality; his admirers become his co-dependents..

Narcissists have no interest in things that do not help
them to reach their personal objectives. They are focused
on one thing alone, and that is power. All other issues are
meaningless to them and they do not want to waste their
precious time on trivialities. Anything that does not help
them is beneath them and does not deserve their attention.
If an issue raised in the Senate does not help Obama in one
way or another, he has no interest in it. The
"Present" vote is a safe vote; he used the
"Present" all the time as a member of the Illinois
legislature. No one can criticize him if things go wrong.
Why should he implicate himself in issues that may become
controversial when they don't help him personally? Those
issues are unworthy by their very nature because they are
    not about him.

Obama's election as the first black president of the
Harvard Law Review led to a contract and an advance to write
a book about race relations. The University of Chicago Law
School provided him with a fellowship and an office to work
on his book. The book took him a lot longer than expected
and at the end it devolved into…, guess what? His own
autobiography! Instead of writing a scholarly paper focusing
on race relations, for which he had been paid, Obama could
not resist writing about his most sublime self. He entitled
the book "Dreams from My Father."

Not surprisingly, Adolph Hitler also wrote his own
autobiography when he was still nobody. So did Stalin. For a
narcissist no subject is as important as his own self. Why
would he waste his precious time and genius writing about
insignificant things when he can write about such an august
being as himself? Narcissists are often callous and even
ruthless. As the norm, they lack conscience. This is evident
from Obama's lack of interest in his own brother who
lives on only one dollar per month. A man who lives in
luxury, who takes a private jet to vacation in Hawaii, and
who has raised nearly a half billion dollars for his
campaign (something unprecedented in history) has no
interest in the plight of his own brother. Why? His brother
cannot be used for his ascent to power. A narcissist cares
    for no one but himself.

This election is like no other election in the history of
America. The issues are insignificant compared to what is at
stake. What can be more dangerous than having a man bereft
of a conscience, a serial liar, and one who cannot
distinguish his fantasies from reality as the leader of the
    free world?

I hate to sound alarmist, but one must be a fool if one is
not alarmed. Many politicians are narcissists. They pose no
threat to others. They are simply self-serving and selfish..
[Witness Al Gore's Income Tax; it reveals that he gave
away NO MONEY to charities, not even to a church!]. Obama
evinces symptoms of pathological narcissism, which is
different from the run-of-the-mill narcissism of a Richard
Nixon or Bill Clinton, for example. To him reality and
fantasy are intertwined. This is a mental health issue, not
just a character flaw. Pathological narcissists are
dangerous because they look normal and even intelligent. It
is this disguise that makes them treacherous. [Look up the
    word 'treachery.']

Today the Democrats have placed all their hopes in Obama.
But this man could put an end to their party [and to this
great nation].. The great majority of blacks have also
decided to vote for Obama. Only a fool does not know that
their support for him is racially driven.

Let us call a spade a spade [No pun intended]. This is
racism, pure and simple. The truth is that, while everyone
carries a misconceived collective guilt towards blacks for
wrongs done centuries ago by a bygone people to a bygone
people, the blacks carry a collective rancor, enmity or
vendetta towards non-blacks, and to this day want to
"stand up" to the white man. They seem to be stuck
in 19th century [encouraged by race baiters like Al
    Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and others].

The downside of this is, that if Obama turns out to be the
disaster I predict, he will cause widespread resentment
among the whites. The blacks are unlikely to give up their
support of their man.. Cultic mentality is pernicious and
unrelenting. They will dig their heads deeper in the sand
and blame Obama's detractors of racism. This will cause
a backlash among the whites. The white supremacists will
take advantage of the discontent and they will receive
    widespread support.

I predict that in less than four years, racial tensions
will increase to levels not seen since the turbulent 1960s.
Obama will set the clock back decades. America is the
bastion of freedom. The peace of the world depends on the
strength of America, and its weakness translates into the
triumph of terrorism and victory of rogue nations. It is no
wonder that Ahmadinejad, Hugo Chavez, the Maoist Castroists,
the Hezbollah, the Hamas, the lawyers of the Guantanamo
terrorists, and virtually all sworn enemies of America are
so thrilled by the prospect of "their man" in the
    White House.

America is on the verge of destruction. There is no
insanity greater than electing a pathological narcissist as
    president.

Very good write up, couple of points though :D

Vaknin says that Obama's language, posture,
and demeanor, and the testimonies of his closest, nearest
and dearest suggest that the Senator is either a narcissist
or he may have narcissistic personality disorder
    (NPD).

Now the main word there is "sugests" all the rest of it is hypothosis by the author, he mentions Obamas nearest and dearest yet I do not see any refrence to him having interviewed them? I would quite agree with the overall sugestion that Obama is quite possibly a narcissit but then again most politicians are (IMHO) and as Vankin says quite plainly on his site if you read it

I am not a mental health professional though I am certified in psychological counseling techniques by Brainbench.

The readers are discouraged from using it for diagnostic or therapeutic ends. The diagnosis and treatment of the Narcissistic Personality Disorder can only be done by professional specifically trained and qualified to do so.

Now they are direct quotes taken from the mans own web site :D

Thank you for submitting your work: The Making of a Fuehrer.

However, I regret to inform you that we must reject your submission at this time. The wacko left has already well covered the Opposing Party President = Hitler genre over the last 8 years and, frankly, the public seeks change in this type of President = Dictator type article.

We suggest you re-write your essay and substitute an emphasis on a different dictator. Possible suggestions include...Lenin, Caesar, Lincoln or other suitably known individuals.

Again, thank you for submitting to PWRE Publishing and we hope to work with you in the future.

And should he truly have a disorder, I won't be holding my breath to see if he goes to be diagnosed or get treatment. I suspect that's as likely as our governor stepping down by his own free will.

So what are we left with? We're left with the hope that he isn't, or at least isn't as bad as this write-up implies, and we'll be lucky to be left with a term that is just another Clinton administration.

If he is truly this way, I know I can count on people to line up and make excuses for whatever tyranical laws he rams through or actions that are taken. I can count on that. Never a lack of reasoning and excuses for this guy.

It's far easier to not question anything. Far more comfortable that way.

Some of these things, like this 'article', that are written are grasping at straws while running headlong into the insanity wall. Some of these people see the world through a finely focused, narrow lens to the point where everything they see validates their opinions against someone or something that they dislike and they see nothing else. All they see is the sky falling. America on the verge of destruction! Race wars! Dictatorship! Plague! Pestilence!

It is fine to question things. It is healthy to do so. But you question things to learn. These types of people aren't really questioning anything at all because they aren;t trying to learn anything. Their minds are long ago closed. All they are doing is molding whatever they can to try and validate their own beliefs and most often to try and spread fear and division in the process. Talk about pathological.

BTW: Is this the same Ali Sina of Faith Freedom International? I assume so.

Yep same guy Stu, now as for what you are left with is a Obama administration, the choice was put to the American people and they voted. I believe that they had enough of the Bush type administration which you would have had under McCain.
Now should Presidential candidates be psychoanalised before been allowed to stand as candidates that is another question LOL after all what sane person would want the job in the first place.
Shall we look at his candicy though so far just about ever accusation has been thrown at the man from Traitor to his country to him not been a US citizen, about the only thing not thrown at him was his colour and that was only because they were to scared of the repercussions, this to my mind is just the latest in a long running campaign to try to discredit him.
How I must ask would you have reacted if 8 years ago someone had written the same sort of thing about President Bush? Or even at the start of the primeries at Senator John McCain? I would imagine that you would have been outraged and called it typical Left wing Libral rubbish LOL come on Vess be honest here you would woudnt you :D

Hey Vess1, I suppose you didnt vote for racial reasons. Oh yea, George Bush certainly wasnt a privledged child. He grew up the same as your average person. Doesnt everyone who runs for President have to be a bit of a narcissist to think they can handle the task?

  9. vess1

    vess1 "Birds of a feather...."

Nope. Didn't vote for ignorant racial reasons at all. I'm well above that.

I voted for the one person that wasn't given a chance and was the only one who might be able to turn this thing around.

Looks like you better read the article again. Growing up priviledged had nothing to do with it. Actually on the contrary. Doesn't everyone? No.

Ron Paul isn't power hungry and would have done what's right for the people. Without all the baggage, scandals, lies and absolute bull#&it!!! I can trust Ron Paul. Obama has proven that I can't trust a single WORD that comes out of his mouth! That's what he's shown us. And anybody that doesn't admit that is a total fool after what we've seen and heard over the last several months.

We're led by a retard majority and with acorn involved, it's likely that the election is a scam before it even gets to the electoral college. Read my sig lines again.

  10. vess1

    vess1 "Birds of a feather...."

And I really gotta laugh when people discount Ron Paul over some statement he made over 9/11 (which I have ended up questioning the multitudes of coincidences myself). I laugh because Paul can say one #$%%*ing thing that goes against what people are determined to believe and they're willing to s#it can him! Immediately! People don't even want to find out anything else about him. They don't care that he's actually FOR the American people.

Obama has a free pass to be involved in scandals and caught up in lies, an endless amount of times and come from a cess pool of a political machine and still get elected. And still be supported and defended by average people!! Without ever having really done anything and what he has overseen has been a failure. It's called "having baggage." IMO, he has way more than Bush had coming in. We don't need that B.S. but that's what all the retards wanted.

I predict he's going to have to try some extreme things to try to be something. Because if he tries going about things in typical fashion, you're going to see an enormous failure over the next 4 years.

But you wouldnt laugh about the statement if Obama or Mccain said that about 9/11, huh? Its only your perception that Paul was for every American.

  12. vess1

    vess1 "Birds of a feather...."

You completely missed the point and you obviously have no clue about RP. Only my perception? LOL!

I suppose you strongly believe Obama cares for *ALL* Americans? If so, I'd love to know how you came to that conclusion.

I never said that about Obama. But you said that about Paul. I didnt even vote for Obama. If I missed the point, it was only because there wasnt one.
