I understand that. I was making a joke in response to your joke. But apparently no one realizes that I understand that or that my comment was a joke as well. I even got a red-letter rap on the knuckles from The Monitor, who I hasten to add that I love and respect. There are obviously certain deficiencies in this medium. AND I think we are getting AWFULLY sensitive around here.
No, no. Dupnik is the Great Peace Maker of our time. He said that the vitriol should stop or we would suffer the consequences (paraphrasing). Oh, what a great man! So, think about Dupnik the next time you become fired up about politics. Forgive me, should I not have said "fired up"?
WHATever, Coin LOL I'm beginning to think you've had as much to drink as I have. Partner is in Tokyo. Went out Happy Houring with some of our friends. And now it's almost time for bed I think.
I stand corrected. I've been at the end of so many reprimands lately (not here), many of which are undeserved, that I'm letting myself get sensitive all over. I promise now that the show is over and Thanksgiving is coming up hard upon us (and a well-earned week off from school), that I will do better! You know I love ya, Tak (in that long-distance, totally appropriate and non-weird/stalkerish Internet sort of way).
No, nothing to drink tonight. Just feeling pretty good. Hope your partner is back in time to enjoy Thanksgiving with you.
View attachment 320 I didn't realize that legalizing pot was necessarily part of the Republican platform. But, if you say so, it must be true.
He'll be back on Thanksgiving Eve. I wanted to go with him but it's mainly business (he's starting one) and we decided we'd do a joint family thing in the spring, thereby saving a couple grand this time around. I'll survive I guess lol
Yeah, well the feeling is mutual Jo. And I don't know what reprimands you've been getting but don't take s**t from nobody. Not that I think you would.
Mabo dofu, Deep-fried tofu in hot sauce. Carrots, burdock, onions and daikon cooked with chicken and soy sauce, Chicken stir-fried with leeks and mushrooms, some brown rice, some turkey pastrami, half a jar of sauerkraut, some lettuce, and a beet.
What is mabo dofu? I love fried tofu in hot sauce. Except for the turkey pastrami, the rest sounds great!
Mabo dofu at our house is the Japanese version of a Chinese dish with a similar name. It involves tofu in small cubes, I like the firm kind, J likes the soft kind, either is fine. The tofu is fried in a wok with coarsely ground pork, minced onion, minced garlic, minced ginger, crushed dried hot peppers, and a liberal portion of hot bean sauce. At least this is how I think he does it. There might be some other stuff. in there. He cooks, I wash up. It can be mild and kind of sweet-hot or totally fiery. We kind of prefer the latter. Oh, and you serve it over rice. It really complements brown rice imo,
