Pro-Union Protesters Try To Disrupt Michigan Capitol

These pro-unions thugs got pepper-sprayed for trying to disrupt duly elected officials conducting the business of the people at the state capitol in Michigan. One would think the lesson would have been learned in Wisconsin: The majority of people just don't want unions anymore. But, unions haven't been about the workers for a long time; they've been about money and political influence. These pro-union thugs are just pawns in a game being played by Big Labor, but they're too naive to know it.

Here we are again...a supporter of the Wrong ignoring the issues.

Does he know that the Wrong are in complete control of Michigan? Probably, and probably ecstatic for it.

Does he know they have passed laws that take money earmarked for the poor and disabled to finance big business interests? Probably not important to him.

Does he know the Governor himself can take over any business or organization that is deemed "fiscally troubled"? Not important, I'm sure.

Does he know that the Governor can remove elected officials from office and put anyone of his choice in charge? Not an issue for him, I'm sure.

Does he know the Governor can sell public property, such as beaches and other public access sites, if he deems it necessary? Not an issue, I'm sure.

...All the above is sure to be acceptable to a supporter of the Wrong, when it's the Wrong doing it. If the Democrats did ANY of that, the bellowing for their heads would be non-stop. All of this is acceptable though, because they also want unions busted completely.

The Wrong make laws that benefit themselves ONLY. Either enough people will figure it out and remove these insidious bastards, or they won't.

 

Yeah, it is sort of amazing that they characterize Obama as a Socialist dictator for bringing healthcare to millions but when one of theirs takes nearly dictatorial powers at the state level, they are duly elected officials. The blind leading the stupid preaching to the deaf.

Also, when workers stand up against a tyrannical out of control government, they become thugs. I guess I could never be a Right-winger. I only have one face.

 

...but the article didn't say these thugs were protesting any of the crap iqless posted...it said their problem was with the governor allowing people to choose whether or not they had to join a union. What could possibly be wrong with allowing individuals to decide for themselves whether they wanted to join a union or not?

 

Then they cannot take the dues from them to help promote the democrats. Obviously, not promoting the democrats is WRONG!

I posted a thread about all this a lonnng time ago. To this day, not one of you Republican supporters appears concerned that it has occurred. Again, if this were done by Democrats, I'd be just as concerned about it as I am with it being the Republicans behind this, but you personally would be ranting and raving non-stop in outrage.

Well? Where's the outrage? You talk a lot about the problems in this country, but you have no concern for this country, not at all, not when it's the Republicans at the reins.

 

The protesters shouldn't have tried to push aside state cops. Agreed. Not smart.

That said the power the governor of Michigan wields is scary. It's scary be that governor Republican or Democrat.
The governor has the authority to rape a beautiful state.

As for a beautiful state? Well, let's just say this area's mining history has left the population a legacy filled with various health issues that no one really wants to own-up on, so looks can be deceiving.

Examples:

A ditch in Calumet that was found to have all these nasty left-over chemicals from a long-since gone power plant. How many people affected? Who knows.

Lake Linden's Super-Fund site. A joke of a clean-up. They hauled the top layer off some land and beaches, then covered it all with a few inches of top-soil. They ignored the contaminants off shore in the lake. I've caught fish there that had some nasty tumors. I'd never eat fish from there, but how many have? Tons. How many kids swam at those beaches? Countless.

Ripley. Another asbestos site "discovered" a decade or so ago, on a site around a bunch of abandoned buildings, throwing distance from the bridge.

Where does it all go? Into the water. Who uses it? Almost everyone. Not nearly as pretty here once you know what's just under the surface.

They are not unions so much as they are representatives for the workers of this country which of course the Plutocrats you support hate. If these groups that represent works did support Republicans, workers would have no voice in this country pretty much like any authoritarian regime on the planet. Disgruntled union workers put their fight against Cablevision over the fight against cancer at a Times Square protest last night.
About 50 members of the Communications Workers of America Local 1109 disrupted a benefit for cancer research at the Hard Rock Cafe, carrying signs and blaring music as attendees streamed in.
Cablevision CEO James Dolan, whose rock band performed at the event, told The Post that the workers’ actions are “despicable.”
“They think being disruptive for their personal gain is more important than beating pancreatic cancer,” he said. “Their values are twisted. I’m surprised at the depth of their lowness. Everyone who deals with them should take note. It’s shameful.”
The benefit was expected to raise $1.75 million for the Lustgarten Foundation, which funds pancreatic-cancer research.
The foundation is named for Cablevision exec Marc Lustgarten, who died of pancreatic cancer in 1999. Cablevision pays all the foundation’s administrative costs, and the foundation says that all the money raised last night will go to research.

wtf are you talking about? the "obamacare" that got "shoved down America's throat," is not the same Obamacare initially proposed. In fact, it is heavily modified. If it was "shoved down America's throat," I highly doubt it would be revised first.

 

Will this be a major defeat to the unions in Michigan if it passes? Yes, it will... Unions will still exist, but Right-To-Work allows the employee the choice of deciding whether to join the union or not. Isn't that what liberals bemoan all the time? The right to choose?

Violent union thugs attacked and injured a news reporter at the protest against Right-to-Work legislation at the Michigan capitol today. I'm tempted to ask, "Why are these union thugs so violent?", but I've found that liberals, generally speaking, seem to have a natural tendency toward violence. Take these unions thugs as an example. Or look at the Occupy Whatever movement. When will unions and liberals realize that violence is NOT the answer? Also, why don't unions want to give workers the right to choose?
