So, what do you think of $5.00/gal gasoline?

Yep! And I know too. He and his Secretary of Energy have both announced it. I guess you missed it.

I certainly don't expect you to understand that there is no difference.

This was the question posed to kdawson before he/she attempted to re-direct the thread

I also asked him/her another question in post #77 which was evaded.

Do you read English? I said what I mean. I hope someday you overcome the bitterness that has put you in such a piteous spot. Why are the R people so mean spirited? And why are they so fat? Mysteries abound.

Let us apply a little reason. Do you think higher gas prices actually helps Mr. Obama, especially in an election year? So BP bribes their way back into business with the help, I assume, of the Congress they own. Do you think its a coincidence that gas prices go up as they're starting to cut checks? They're making up their losses at the pump...the rich get richer, the poor get poorer and its business as usual. This whole thing has the R Peoples' greasy fingerprints all over it. We are no longer a democracy (if we ever were), but a corporate entity.

Reason. There's that word again. ;) If you are a RWer it's apparently perfectly reasonable to think that road to four more years in the White House is paved with sky high gas prices and the danger that the recovery we have going will be nipped in the bud as a result. That's a vote-getter, isn't it? Apparently in the RW mind this is exactly the kind of thing Obama would engineer in the hope of winning reelection.

None the RW'ers positions make any logical sense because everything has to be pinned back the narrative that EVERYTHING is Obama's fault. It takes one heck of an imagination to be able to link some of this stuff to Obama and in the same breath completely ignore Goldman Sachs, Wall Street speculation, George Bush, and the record number of Republican filibusters of the do nothing congress and track it all back to Obama.
What you end up with is absolutely wildly imaginative scenarios where absolutely everything is the fault of one guy, coincidentally, the guy they happen to hate with the power of a thousand white-hot suns. Reason doesn't even figure into their thinking process if that is what you want to call it. I really doubt thinking has anything to do with their positions.

No, we're a one-party Corporatocracy operating under the guise of a republic.

If by being better than that you mean that I buy into the illusion then you're wrong. I'm not better than that.

If I remember correctly, you are the one saying that everything that went wrong was Bush's fault, but I was the one trying to convince you (unsuccessfully) that all laws start in Congress. Although I think I managed to convince you that they do not all start in the House. So, no, I do not think " EVERYTHING is Obama's fault". His biggest mistake was allowing Pelosi and Reid run roughshod over him. I am sure Obama has his share of the blame, but most of it goes to the Democratically controlled Congress - and that starts in 2006, but the one before was not much better.

Because you didn't then and can’t now point to one single piece of legislation that the Democrats in Congress got George Bush to sign and lead to anything tangible. You only asserted the connection, you never proved it and my guess is that you will still be unable to point to any legislation between 2006 and 2008 that cause the economic problems this country has experienced starting in 2008. I won't hold my breath this time either.

Hey I taught you that. Interesting. By the way, we are no longer a Republic. We are an Oligarchy. I expect to see you post this in the future too.

You're right of course. I was writing down to the level of intelligence proven by past posts. You know the difference! Here's a gold star.
