I cannot help it folks, here it comes. Obama has just been steamrolled, screwed, blued and tattoed. B-slapped by the Clintons on national television. They have hijacked his convention right under his nose, and you actually want this strong decisive leader running our country? Hell, Bill Clinton will be pimpin this newbie for 3 days straight, LMAO, unfreakin believable. What's he going to do when he has to stand up against Putin or Ahmenidijad?
I wonder how may Super Delegates are getting calls...'Ya know you don't have to vote for Obama on the first ballot...Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge.' lol
I thought it rather telling that Obama was on an extended "holiday" in Hawaii, and far from the press when Georgia was invaded by Russia and had nothing more than some scripted statement his secretary released. Despite my reservations about McCain, he kicked &$$ with the statement: "We are all Georgians now" Any doubts about who is better to take the 3AM call were erased when this situation came up. One would be dozing(perhaps in Hawaii), whilst the other is ready to lead.
Luckily we sometimes get to see how the candidates will react before they get elected...maybe this will help a few people snap out of the Obama hypnosis.
I think I heard this morning that Barack is still in Hawaii. Nice. He wants to be president, but wait until he takes his snoozer.
This is not a jab at the Obama folks, but to be perfectly honest here, I would rather see Hillary get this. Obama is scary incompetent, not worth the risk, and absolutly incapable of leadership at this big league level. Maybe some day, he will be a great candidate, but this job of POTUS requires nutz, experience, resolve, experience, nutz....and LEADERSHIP. The ability to stand up. You cannot vote "present" when your in the oval office. He just got his a$$ handed to him, a total hoodwink job by the Clinton machine, that just scares the hell out of me. This guy, as much as I cannot stand behind McCain, will not get my vote. I can't do it. Too much at stake. So, this is my official flip-flop thread. I now have to back someone who will stand strong and CAN BE TRUSTED to lead. This is serious business folks. The big game. The river card. No room for on the job training or governing by polls. I'll vote for Hillary before I'll vote Obama. I'll vote for McCain, this situation with Putin is a test, and a test on a global scale. Too much at stake. Sorry Barak and Michelle, your ride has been fun, but lets hope it ends soon. Nothing more, not a jab of any sort. This guys not ready for prime time yet.
This week and McCains unwavering support of a new democracy and his statement "We are all Georgians now" resonates, whilst Obama speaking through his press secretary as usual speaks volumes too. It sounds like Hillary was wise to stay in as long as she did, she very nearly became the presumptive candidate last month when Obama's plane could have crashed.
At the democrat convention this month Hillary, Bill & Chelsea will all make speeches before Obama speaks plus Hillary's name will be entered into nomination before Obama speaks....he got played big-time!! It's going to be an interesting convention that's for sure!!
HA, you were really impressed by that lame-a$$ line of McCain's. Every time Clinton, Obama, or McCain speak, we're reminded of what crap choices will lie ahead of us no matter how the story unfolds.
McCain may be the better choice but either choice is still going to allow the slow transformation of mexico and the united states becoming one nation state. now if anyone knows what a mess mexico is in terms of crime and poorness then they would know that is not a good idea unless you are super rich or far left or want a catholic nation.
Impressed is a stretch. It was just that Osama didn't say anything substantive, instead I think he is still sunning his bottom in Hawaii.
Nothing McCain says ever impresses me, but you cannot take away his years of experience ( yes, he is a Washington insider too ). As an Admiral in the US NAVY, his leadership of the military cannot be qustioned, AND, he gets it. You will NOT see or hear McCain bashing this country on foreign soil and attempting to give our armed forces a vascectomy. Obama is an appeaser thru and thru, he just appeased the Clintons. Period. Done deal. This guy will not provide strong leadership, he is incapable. Funny thing is, he actually agreed to this Clinton Convention in the name of unity and peace !!!! I wonder how peaceful and unified the Clinton soldiers are, and what the Clinton " Peace" plan is, lol. Do we want America hoodwinked by Russia, Iran, Venezuela, etc etc " in the name of peace and unity" ?? Give me a break. I'm not at all a McCaniac, but this global crap has spooked me ( yes, I admit it ) and upped the stakes. They just raised the blinds in this game of world poker, and we need leadership. 143 days as a Senator will not get it.
Oh, puhleez, I believe "impressed" would be a severe stretch of the imaginations, more like I believe he performed better under the circumstance that Obama did. I am no fan of either candidate, I think they are both pretty flaccid bipartisan crossover compromise candidates. They are both trying to act either more liberal or more conservative, depending on the audience they are playing at the moment. I would rather we had candidates that were not too busy trying to be bipartisan fairies for crossover voters.
Odd, you brought up McCain's lame line twice, saying it kicked a$$ then later that it resonates with you. Sounds like you were impressed. But now I see you reacted to my post twice as well. Maybe you cannot resist doing things in pairs, I wouldn't want to make fun of your handicap so I'll leave it at that.
Not to say that McCain isn't the lesser of 3 evils, but it would be remiss to assume that military experience = good experience, or that military leadership = good leadership. There's plenty of incompetents at ranks above E-1 and O-1 in our system.
Military leadership/experience may no always equal good leadership/experience but it is typically better than no leadership/experience at all. But in this case I think McCain has demonstrated both leadership & experience.
But then... if his personal life up to the time he met Cindy McCain comes into play, and there are inklings of it already, the period of 1973-1978 could come back to haunt him.
Hey, Mr. I'm All About Facts, try again. McThusela was only a captain when he retired in '81. His father was the Admiral.
