A couple of hours ago I watched the sun set over the plains of Western SD, and I locked all the doors/windows as the calvary jokers from/of 'Fort Meade' still ride. Every Halloween I recall a certain story told to me in 1987 which I'll never repeat... Bone BTW, we never get any Trick or Treatr's. Too far from town...
We are in Manhattan compared to you, but we also never see the little beggars. We have a steep 200-foot driveway, and it is at the end of a dead-end road. We almost never see salesmen, just the occassional Witness. Did one of the night riders admonish you as he rode by, "If you want to save your soul from hell a riding on this range, then cowboy change your ways today, or with us you will ride, chasing down the devil's herd across the endless skies."
