Tea Party Thugs Tear Down Police Barriers and Assault Police

Nice! First the Tea Party pukes close the government down and then rile a crowd up to the point of violence while asking why the government they shut down closed the National Parks. Because idiots, those funds you decided to withhold went to pay for the National Park system. The barriers are in place to protect the parks and memorials from damage, terrorism, vandals, and for the safety of the public that may get caught in any terrorist act. What is so hard to understand about, "You close the government down and all the things the government does close too except essential functions?" Assaulting the same police that you just took paychecks away from is just beyond thuggery, it takes food out of the mouths of their families and forces them to show up at work everyday anyway. The hole you have dug will bury you.

All people who had never otherwise cared to go to a historic park/monument till this very moment, I'd say. I doubt most of them could tell you who the Washington monument or Lincoln memorial were named in honor of.
