First off, you have presented no evidence that anyone has rewritten anything yet. Just liberal views of someone's words. After all, the liberals rewrote them based on their fantasy. Try reading this http://www.foxnews.com/story/2010/03/11/how-texas-textbook-wars-could-affect/
Interesting that you would say that. I mean everything you have posted is nothing but liberal innuendo supposing what conservatives might do. I absolutely agree that history should not be politically slanted, but so far that is all you have posted - politically slanted history.
Which further defends what I've been saying! It's not a conservative/ liberal thing.....period. It's putting history in history books and science in science books, without refantasizing ANYONE'S political or religious leanings. Facts are not debatable, rewritable, or voted on,mand should not be mulched by schools, states, or politicians and regurgitated like so much vile garbage into students heads so that they can fulfill some insane moral obligation to shine over the past and science. It's bipartisan. It's everyone's responsibility.
But so far you have shown no evidence that conservatives have put anything wrong in the history books. Try reading this; http://exposingliberallies.blogspot.com/2010/05/cleaning-up-leftist-spin-in-history.html or http://www.orthodoxytoday.org/articles8/Glazov-Forty-Eight-Liberal-Lies-About-American-History.php I did not realize Gorbachev ended the cold war. Or Reagan economy only gave us big deficits. Or that US is an "imperialist" nation.
All this ever was was an attempt by the far left to get their low-information types all excited...obviously it worked.
