Yup. I started a thread. Could not resist. So some guy called in the press to give a big thingie at MAL. Went fantastic, wouldn't you say? Such a visionary for the future of our fledgling country. How did we ever get so far without his guidance?
Clips I've seen are pretty brutal and sad, but also I haven't really sought them out because there's this feeling of "I don't really care what he has to say anymore" In 2016 and throughout his presidency, him being outrageous kept the attention of his supporters and detractors alike. How could you look away? But now it's just "yep he's doing his thing again. same recycled content but delivered by an older and more feeble version of himself" It's not engaging anymore
What was "brutal" and "sad" within the "clips" that you saw? I think the left is throwing poop at the wall just for the fact that he held a presser, sans teleprompters, in the first place, when it appears the other candidate is absolutely allergic to the same scenario.
I mirror your reply, and I did not have your courage, in this instance, to reply and I admit it is because of a prejudicial attitude toward the OP and GW, not because of their preferences, but because I do not consider either to be serious responders or presenters of factual issues, and I interpret all of their Posts to simply be deliberately annoying. The 'PRESSER" being discussed is an example of freestyle conversation that...agree or disagree....the listener is not in doubt of the open door off the cuff style of communication, regardless of the disgruntlement or exasperation or condemnation or agreement or support position of the listener. I heard a comment from a professed "jounalist"..... 2, actually... describing the PRESSER as rambling and avoidant and non-sensical. Sigh.....
I hear you, Charley, and have the same reservations, especially with the resident kindergartner. GW, at least, will engage a bit before starting his dancing routine. What I find most telling a lot of the time in these pages is not so much what one replies to, but rather what they don't reply to when asked a direct question. Just ask @What U ignore concerning that issue.
A lot. Some stuff that stuck out to me was the crowd size dick measuring contest he tried to pull with MLK Jr., going back to questioning Harris' race, and having very little substance in general. All while looking really haggard and low energy. Ooh my actual favorite was when he was asked about the Florida abortion referendum and he definitely had no idea what that was. Pathetic for a politician to not even know major ballot initiatives in the state they live and vote in. Err, maybe he doesn't vote now that he's a convicted felon and all... Depends how Florida wants to play it
Compared to the protective isolation of Harris, liberal "journalists" characterize Trump as avoidant???
....and what is phony abut old Jake, is his non-partisan ability to be a fair and reasonable Debate Moderator (remember that Schick?). He has the undisputed talent of the Great Morrow and Rooney, that defines a Journalist (now is where the round thingy guy should be a bigger clownish depiction or in the alternative a photo of our own beloved GW, who has all the traits needed to be one of the Great Orators of the 21st Century....heck I will even predict he is the next Douglas.
Wouldn't it be more productive / satisfying to tease one into answering slightly less direct questions / comments, rather than getting no reply at all?
I, like a lot of people, wish that Trump would stick to the "meat and potatoes" of the issues. Going off tangent and the exaggerations do get frustrating. The MLK comparison being part of the exaggerations and the race of Harris being the going off tangent. As to the abortion issue, I believe Trump has made his stance quite clear numerous times. Getting back to the "meat and potatoes", I notice that you don't touch on any of that. Those topics covered (economy, immigration, crime, etc.) must have been the ones that you didn't see? More likely, they were not mentioned in the media bits that you snarfed up. It's no wonder Kamala is camera shy. The democrat media knows full well that they can't ask her those "meat and potatoes" questions. They know full well that unless they're throwing her rainbows and unicorns that she'll be exposed much the same as Biden was in that fateful debate.
No, I did. I just don't count repeating the following phrases every couple days as "meat and potatoes" Please read in his voice: "Crime is the worst we've seen. It's horrible, like you wouldn't believe" "The economy is the worst, they didn't think it was possible but wow. It's a shame." "Immigration is out of control, you know it, I know it, everyone knows it" He says the words, but doesn't actually ever say anything of substance
I get what you're saying, Mike, but here's the thing; I've never really been the type of fellow that beats around the bush. It's a waste of my time and the person with whom I'm speaking. My post above speaks of the "meat and potatoes" and that's where I'm going right out of the gate in most cases. That someone will not reply to a direct question says more about them, and their stance on the issue, than it does about me.
I don't think that was all that was said on these three issues.......is your internet spotty over there? Had he said only the above on these issues, why in the world did the presser go for an hour? He could have done a mic drop after 10 minutes and been on the golf course. Do Harris and Walz not repeat the same things over and over?
Jesus! You are doing it again! Avoidance, avoidance, avoidance. Stick to the thrust of what is being proffered: THE MEAT AND POTATOES....if you deliberately and willfully and ignorantly tune out the clear statements of position and differences of position stated in the "PRESSER" (God, I despise that description....I mean who the hell was pressing what? Past POTUS Trump has never needed to be advised to duck and cover when directly questioned), which you definitely do..... all you are doing is belittling your achievements, instead of enjoying the benefit of respect and courtesy that used to be automatically afforded to educated person by the populace. Is there any wonder there is a FACEBOOK, TIKTOCKY(whatever it is called), and childish insignificant mutterings of this Thread's OP, and you as a responder? All you deliberately want to notice is not substance, but hyperbole for effect AFTER stating the substance of position You continuously duck and cover. You do not need to play "Valley Girl". To paraphrase a wonderful fictional Irish warrior character: JUST ANSWER THE FOOKIN' QUESTION!
That's a question we've been asking ourselves for years now... What was your favorite part that actually had substance then?
My favorite part is that he has the cojones to stand in front of the press of our nation and answer questions.
I watched the whole thing. You forgot to answer my other question; Do Harris and Walz not repeat the same thing over and over?
