Not as common as you'd think. Unless you're Angelina Jolie and can adopt from abroad, single women rarely are allowed to adopt except in special circumstances. They like two parent households for the most part.

 

You are correct that couples are majority of adopters, but single women represent about 10% of adoptions in your country. Single males might be about 1%.

 

Aidan previously said in other posts that he wants all homosexuals dead. I feel sad for him that he harbors so much hatred.

Aidan, you have some psychological problems I believe need to be dealt with before you hurt someone.

Personally, I don't care who has sex with whom. It's none of my business and if you make it your business then I think you're probably just an uptight prude who's probably not getting any.

I think I remember Aidan saying he was the subject of abuse at the hands of some religious leader when he was young. That would certainly make me angry enough at the people responsible for letting it happen. He is probably handling his anger in the only way he knows how and probably without any professional support. To us it just seems like irrational bigotry and overt hatred of a different lifestyle. I think we need to be a little more understanding of Aidan's position and I also think he needs to consider talking with someone that can help him and realize that vocalizing his anger at all gays is just going to deepen his wounds.

 

Well, I guess the secret is out! When they start talking about it in Oklahoma, it's bound to be old news in most other places.
Your right Okie, we have some of your friends moving into the state since the movie came out, and we have had to come up with some solution (other than hanging them on fences) to abait the problem.
Right now the plan is to match the homosexuals up with the imported sheep herders we get from Spain and send them out to live togather in their sheep wagons. We figure that the sheep will be thankful for the relief, and possible put on extra pounds so at market time this spring, they will bring higher prices at auction. It looks like everyone will be happy with the situation and we can get back to just being friends. Just for you OkeyKiss

You state that most molestors are men.
So why would you think gay men would not have a rate of molestors among themselves. Besides you studied history, everytime a gay culture gains power children are viewed as acceptable for sex.

 

I think it is a mistake to allow children to be adopted outside of their country.
It sets up a condition where children could "disappear" or be like "candy" to be shopped for. I feel that my nation needs to crack down on porn and molestors and be more protective of the children so I'm not casting any stones at Russia or the Urkraine.

 

It is a fact that homosexuals are 100 times more likely to abuse children,which really scares me.So,that is a reason why I am an advocate of giving homosexuals the death penalty,especially those Romish priests who abuse children.

If you were abused as a child, I hope you are able to seek counseling to help you with these issues.

I'll second this opinion.

 

For people from your country it cost a lot of money to adopt and 99% of the time involves very thorough background checks on the part of authorities in both countries and 99% of the children are far better off in America, Italy or UK than they are dying in Russian and Ukrainian children's homes because of lack of food and especially good medical care. Most kids in Russia's children's homes come from families which have been broken apart by alcoholism etc, and often times because of bad family life early on, when they get to children's home they are not very healthy. The state funds these children's homes, but with corruption, many are not very good for children and they are better off living in Europe or America.

Solution is not to stop foreigners from adoption in Russia, but to more carefully screen them and follow up with family for years after they return to their home country so that the State insures that children which remain Russian nationals are happy in their new place.

Adoptions in America can be bad also, but it is problem with system and not the act of adoption which needs to be fixed.

In Ukraine and in Russia children leave the children's home at age 14, at which time they must find means of supporting themselves, often times this means prostitution for girls, and drug dealing or other crimes for boys. Statistically something around a figure of 10% of them are dead within 2 years of leaving childrens homes and struggling on their own. So see the picture is not so rosy as you say in your country, actually it is black.

 

Go Aidan! Your solution to the perv problem is a very good one, and you are absolutely correct about the rate of molestations among perverts. If only these idiots like Moen would realize the truth. As it stands now, they are actually accomplices of these people by sticking up for them.

Still, nobody can show me any proof what so ever that gay men molest children with anymore frequency than straight men.
