Yeah, that indentured class the liberal elites need to have in order to maintain control is pretty vital to their long-term plans.
I just think it is funny that the liberals in the legislature are having a problem with Obama because he is too conservative at the same time the conservatives are having a problem with him because he is too liberal. This could actually bode very well for the country.
I think anyone leading is going to have to p!ss off more than a few people to get things to happen in Washington. Obama is going to regret ever being elected in six months.
Hilarious subject line. Yes, he probably is regretting it already. I have a bad feeling that this whole time, there was more focus on simply winning (buying) the job than there was concern for what he would do should he get it. This is nothing more than another classic, worn out example of how the average politician back tracks on their promises before even being sworn in. I wonder how long it will be before Walgreens takes down the commemorative plates and hats?? LOL! I was listening to the radio the other day and some guys were quoted from CNN as saying, "If the stimulus plan doesn't work, Obama would be an all but guaranteed one term president." There are people believing that his destiny relies on a stimulus package alone!
Oh well maybe he'll find his cousin, Osama Bin Laden and get re-elected on that. wait. Is it his cousin or brother? Or uncle? David? Vess? Help me out here.
Sorry, rough night. I also happen to think Obana is a one hit wonder. I like the fact that he is ticking off both partys. On the other hand, I'd like to see him accomplish SOMETHING. I could mention things like velvet portraits of Jesus and MLK in the oval office. Strands of beads replacing doors. But I wont.
Hey now, don't knock the velvet Elvis, I have one in my game room right next to the velvet dog's playing poker
He is moving his Mother in Law into the white house , is he the first or just the most recent president to do this? (I will of course avoid any attempts at humor concerning , cousins and uncles all moving into Pennsylavania ave en masse.)
With a 10 year old and 7 year old, I think they are smart to bring in the long arm of grandmother law. lol "Plenty of in-laws have taken up residence in the White House before, not to mention cousins, grandchildren and other relatives. "Throughout history there have been many extended first families in office," said Robert Watson, author of "Life in the White House." Ulysses S. Grant's father-in-law, Richard Dent, stayed for several years. Harry S. Truman's mother-in-law, Madge Gates Wallace, lived there, too, and was critical of her son-in-law, said Maria Downs of the White House Historical Association. Mamie Eisenhower's mother was a little more complacent: So much so that she generally stayed in her room and slept until noon, Downs said." http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2009-01-09-mother-in-law_N.htm
I never thought about the kids , a granny does make perfect sense. Thanks for the info Stu Joe. Tell ya what though..i cringed when he got out that car today and walked down the middle of the road. That i thought was silly. However it did make a great point.
Bushie wouldna done that, and yes, I believe Obama has some chutzpah. I cannot remember any other inauguration in my lifetime, I can remember back to Carter, where people were so excited about the new president, but some of it has to be with the fact that they are finally getting rid of the last president.
"but some of it has to be with the fact that they are finally getting rid of the last president." Without doubt that has a lot to do with the carnival atmosphere , but i wouldnt hold my breath if you think the Bush dynasty is done , Jeb Bush is already being primed for a run.
