The larger Seaport Issue

No I brought up Clinton for there are serious issues that his administration caused that some can still be resolved. Like Communist China controlling the only deep water port on the west coast and docking naval ships there armed with nuclear weapons. Since China is getting close to Iran for its oil and payoffs, don't you think that this is a serious safety issue, homeland security so to speak. But since it was Clinton that gave it away it is ok for some. For me, it is not ok no matter who or what party was responsible. I would like to see it like all the home port issues resolved ASAP.

 

Don't forget the hospital bombing and the bombing of cilivians at Belgrade.

You claim that it was Clinton that gave away all these National Security secrets and exposed our country to the evil Chinese, but that wasn't really within his power as president. He can't simply decide to sell off state secrets and security unless congress (Republican at the time) decided to let him. Believe me; Newt would have been all over him like white on rice if he had even smiled at the Chinese. I think your view of the Clinton years lacks any kind of impartial judgment or realistic relation to history and is even less relevant due to your lack of facts presented and sources sited. By the way, Rush Limbaugh isn't a credible source just in case you felt the need to justify your Clinton bashing with a mouth piece. People like to think of the political parties as Left, Right and then a center. But, really it is more like a circle...or a clock. The DNC are at 11:59 and the RNC is at 12:01. There's not much difference between them really. Most of America is probably at 6:00. Sometimes a candidate on th national level will come in at 11:00 or 1:00 but that is about the best we get. It is simpler that way and keeps people in line. Go team!

IMHO, the best you can do is pick the least worst candidate that is put up. That is why I voted for Pres Clinton in his second term and the current Pres in both his. Although I must say that thought about voting for Perot.

Mr. ROHRABACHER. Mr. Speaker, outrage is sweeping the United States of America, and a justifiable outrage. The American people are finding out now that the technology that they paid for with their tax dollars to be developed during the Cold War, that some of that technology has been transferred to the communist Chinese in order to upgrade the capabilities of their nuclear weapons delivery system.
When President Clinton became President of the United States, we had a chance to confront any wrongdoing or aggression or belligerency committed by the communist Chinese, knowing that the people of the United States were not at risk. Now, after 5 years, we find almost miraculously that the Chinese have developed the capability of hitting the United States with nuclear weapons.
The outrage that I talked about, as I suggested, comes from the fact that we are now learning that it was American corporations, some moguls from the aerospace industry, who decided to take American technology and improve those Chinese rockets. Then we find out that this administration, inside the administration, the watchdogs that noticed that this illegal act and immoral act was taking place, that when the watchdogs tried to create and tried to establish an investigation and to prosecute those people who had transferred that missile technology, that their effort was undercut by no one else but the President of the United States.
President Bill Clinton took the steps that were necessary to transfer the authority of blocking some certain transfers of technology from the State Department, which opposed that transfer, to the Commerce Department that was headed by Ron Brown which was interested in facilitating transfers of technology. The President also issued waivers and licenses that undercut those people who were preparing the prosecution of those people in the aerospace industry that transferred that technology to the communist Chinese.
And yes, there is one other step in this story of betrayal, and that is the information that now is emerging that the President of the United States, during his reelection effort, received millions of dollars in contributions from those who were transferring this technology, in the same time period that the waivers and licenses were being issued by the Oval Office in order to facilitate those transfers.
Bernard Swartz, the CEO of Lorel Corporation, the corporation that transferred much of this technology, is the biggest contributor to the President's reelection campaign, over a million dollars to the President's reelection or to the Democratic party. And then, of course, we hear about money coming from the communist Chinese themselves, filtering it into the President's reelection campaign, Johnny Chung just a few days ago admitting that the $100,000 he tried to funnel into the Democratic campaign came from the People's Liberation Army.
I would ask my colleagues to pay attention to this story, because the People's Liberation Army, the source of those funds was not just the army itself, it was that part of the communist Chinese army that deals with missile and rocket development. A lieutenant colonel in the Chinese Army gave that money to Johnny Chung to funnel into the President's campaign.
Yes, there is justifiable outrage. The President has a lot of questions to answer, as do these corporations, both on moral grounds and on legal grounds. The President should cancel his trip to China until those questions have been answered, and there should be a moratorium on all presidential actions concerning waivers and licenses and the shipping of technology to communist China until we get to the bottom of this.
Every man, woman, and child in the United States now is in jeopardy of nuclear incineration by the communist Chinese if we ever do confront them in their wrongdoing, because of technology that has been transferred to them with the help of this President and with the profit of American companies making profit off technology developed by the taxpayers for the protection of our country.
This is the most serious scandal that I have heard. Maybe the American people cannot understand what sex scandal and character has to do with making decisions, but this is very understandable. Our country has been betrayed. We need to get to the bottom of it".

Now if you do not believe it look it up as well as the port deal with Communist China that he did.
In my book if I did this I would have been arrested as a spy or traitor to this nation.

I was in Central American in the 1980's and there was no media black out with the exception of Honduras and the communist Sandanista's were the ones commiting genocide against the native american population by the way. That has been going on with both democrat and republican presidents in power with some members of the state department/CIA having a hand in it as well as major banks like the so called liberal "Bank of Boston". Why the World Bank itself would collaspe if not for drug money payments. Like it or not but the world would go into a depression if illegal drug use was to cease today and no status quo would want that to happen be it democrat or republican. Yes the Sandanistas were commiting genocide which is why most of the armed movement against them came from the native american population. Look it up on a noncommunist website from Nicaragua. I would not be surprised if there is plenty of eyewitness account pages to be found but you might be surprised to see the death machine that the Sandanistas were in the 1980's.

The big autrocities were in El Salvador. I know plenty of eyewitnesses. In Nicaragua they had total freedom of speech to criticism the gov, in El Salvador 1 word would get you disappeared and maybe some torture situations would arise for your family. In Nicaragua it was chaotic and there were vigilanties and that contra group (remember in that country anyone who asked for a bowl of rice is labeled a commie and tortured and these people certainly were not versed in the fine points on Lennon/ Marx). Meanwhile the cocaine trade was in full swing (remember the 80's were a major coke decade in the US, well that is where it all came from) and that coke $ was used for secret ops that congress disallowed (stuff like giving Iran missles).

As I stated, Coke was a problem in the 1970's. Now should we blame Jimmy Carter for that or any other President. I would think not. As far as the crack let me help you with your reading comprehension. Your reference states that the crack epidemic started in 1985 this does not mean that in 1985 crack was being used for the first time. It means that crack became a widespread problem in certain, mainly inner city, neighborhoods. Crack was around for awhile before 1985. The term freebasing was being used before Ronnie and the reason why crack took off was the cheap price of it. A hit could cost as low as two dollars where the expression a two dollar ***** came up. But I do not expect you to understand this for I most likely used to many words.
