A British writer and director filmed a movie about flight 93 in England.
The director is known to do a lot of factual type movies as well as tastefully done commerical flicks.
The movie has not been previewed yet.
Yet the "left" is already trying to shut it out of this nation.
They are using misdirection by stating it is to soon, it is to much of a sensitive topic, etc...
The point is, is that they do not want Americans to remember 911 and remember why we have a war on terror.

Seems they are a little late since 2 movies have already aired about flight 93.

Andy, this is one of the biggest idiotic assumptions you have made to date. And I thought your list couldn't be topped. I guess I was wrong.

Come on Moen. Where is the Twin Tower movie? It could have been done respectfully and tastefully.
The story line was already presented. All it needs is to be filmed.

Instead we get twisted movies like Syriana and V for Vendetta.

update as I type, Oliver Stone did have a movie in production that is still being edited for perhaps a late summer early september release it is either going to be called World Trade Center or September 11th.
Nicholas Cage is in it and it is about two Authority police officers. However, a review of the cast does not show any of the muslim hijacker names so it makes one wonder how Ollie is going to start the movie and what direction he is going to take the movie. Since Ollie is known to make up facts, I am worried about this one.

I liked both Syriana and V or Vendetta as a matter of fact. Movies are entertainment not politics. Anyone who gives them more importance than that is looking for a fight that isn't there. THEY ARE JUST MOVIES not public policy.

Your first post stating that some amorphous "left" leaning group or maybe just anyone left of center didn’t want 9/11 to be remembered or the "war on terrorism" as an issue is just so... I won't even say it.

I know plenty of people that range anywhere from just left of center to extremely left of center and I can't think of one of them that would agree with your assumption. I think your post is just a poor attempt to pass off your personal stereotype as the opinion of a group you obviously know nothing about. How anyone can seriously stereotype half of the country and think that anyone would give their opinion any credence is beyond me.

So many people forget that not just Americans died on 9/11. Citizens from many nations perished in the attack.

It happened and will NEVER be forgotten.

I had not heard that it was the left doing this, where did you get that?

"Movies are entertainment not politics". Moen.

    You got to be kidding.
V or Vendetta is a pro-terrorist movie in more then one way.
Syriana paints terrorists good and the USA as bad in so many ways.
and how many overt homosexuals are there on TV now.
You would think they are the majority the way they are represented in just about every show.

Leftywood goes out of their way to push their agendas within the movies they star in or produce.
Not that this is new or anything.
Just go back to Lenin, Stalin and Hitler for proganda within movies.

Andy, please take a deep breath. Try to say something positive occasionally and enjoy life. Realize that some democrats aren't the spawn of Satan. Keep in mind that Fox news and Rush Limbaugh are primarily on the air because they attract advertising dollars, not because they are effective teachers of political or economic philosophy, or even present coherent or consistent philosophies. Movies don't shape thinking; or maybe it's more accurate to say that people shaped by movies probably can't think anyway. Don't assume you speak for the right or even understand conservative political philosophy. I'm very far right, and you aren't here.

remind me... what does the left have to gain by American's forgetting 911?

Like I said, if you see them as anything but entertainment value, you're just seeing what you already think you know. I would have a hard time taking movies as anything but entertainment. I guess that's because I really don't have an agenda. Can you say the same?

Unfortunately today's left wing are pretty inept. I doubt if they could pull off the sort of thing that Andy is writing about.

My observation is that many people seem to have lost the ability to distinguish between opinion and fact. Many people seem to substitute belief for knowledge. They can't tell the difference between what is important and unimportant, or what is sense and nonsense. There is very little intellectual curiosity, and many people will never change their mind even if mountains of new evidence comes to light. Maybe it's the fault of the education system. It appears to make people edgy and short-tempered because they don't really know why they think what they think, and have no other mental defense than to attack anyone who doesn't share their way of thinking. It helps to attach a name to the thoughts of others such as "right-wing" or "socialism" or "evil" or some other term meant to identify and denigrate the opposition. The people most afflicted by this mindset are usually the ones fond of using the labels to describe the comments of others. There doesn't seem to be any cure for it.

Welll it is clear from your post that you attacked me without knowing me or with out thinking it out for clearly if you have read my posts you would have seen that I have praised a liberal director, Steven Spielberg and I have praised liberals for the civil rights movement of the past, Unions, Social Security, etc... I have stated that I have voted democrat in the past and most likely again in the future depending on the person. I have stated that I don't listen to Rush, not with the kids in the van and that is when I am usually driving as stated before, and that Fox news is not as objective as it was since mideast sunnis shieks started buying shares in the billions of dollars. Think about it the next time you watch it on how many anti-shia segments,Iran, you will see vs Sunni. As for movies not shaping thinking. Gee, I wonder why Arnold was given a million dollar contract when he was making action movies to smoke cigars in his movies. Movies, TV, billboards, all effect the way we think ranging from what is cool, to the soda we drink, what clothes we wear, to the forming of ideas on subject matter. Isn't that where fads are born as well.?

Now you state that you are vey far right and I will respond that I am proud that you think I am not there.
For me there is no difference between the far right or the far left. You are both the one and the same and I feel that both of those values are anti-american.

As for being unhappy. Like I said you either attacked me without thinking or you attacked me without knowing the poster. Now if you excuse me I am planning on going to the beach today with the kids so I will make a few more posts elsewhere, check my business stuff, then skip out.
