That what it is Davey? Keep bragging and enjoying the downfall of those of a lesser "class" than you. It exemplifies the obvious. It'll be everywhere very soon (except for you and your kind of course...those of a higher "class"), so keep blaming Obama and hope nobody focuses on your kind. I'll hope the opposite.
No one is celebrating any "downfalls", ya moron. I'm simply stating what I believe will prevent any hard workers from suffering a downfall.
My industry is down 40% since it's high less than 5 years ago. That my friend is massive. Being down 2.4% off the normal increase is not a massive decrease, no matter how you try to spin it.
I got your "moron" right down here bud. Yeah. Just work hard. That'll guarantee your hard work won't be downsized, shipped overseas, merged, workforce reduced, or just plain sold out. You're the moron, moron. Now go polish your CEO's knob. He might give you another day or two of work before he axes your stupid a**. Work hard. Works every time...I know. Putz.
If spent 50000 last year, that means you would normally spend $1625 dollars more next year (+3.25%). If instead you only spend $600 (+1.2%) more than last year or instead you spend $1200 less (-2.4%) than last year, that is massive. Consumer Spending is 70% of our economy. Spin it all you want but massive decreases over normal growth in consumer spending in 2011 and the overall downward trend since 2010 is going to affect how likely a business is to expand and hire or whether they hoard cash and wait it out.
I'm sure you do. Exactly what are you doing with my (or anyone's, for that matter) moron "right down here"? So now hard work is vilified? What planet are you from?
He's saying hard work doesn't always guarantee a comfortable living. In my area mining was king, I know quite a few 70, 80, even 90 year old women who's husbands had worked in the mines for 30 or 40 years (and have since passed) who are struggling to survive on their late-husbands meager pensions. A life-time of work is just that in most cases, a life-time of work with little reward for it.
But you're not in an industry that builds or creates anything. The first thing to cut out of any budget during a bad economy is entertainment. You are in the entertainment industry. Are you really surprised by the decrease. You shouldn't be.
There are no guarantees in anything but those who work harder & do a better job sure have an advantage over the tomc's of the world. See, people like tom are malcontents with a victim mentality. It's everyone elses fault that he is such a loser.
No guarantees is a little different than everybody who works hard will be fine. Working hard insures NOTHING, and hard work matters not in the corporate, profit taking world, solidly backed by the republican party. CEO's, millionaires...THEY will be fine. I guess that's what you meant though. You and your peeps. Idiot.
However, not working hard and bitching and gritching about everyone else virtually guarantees that you will not do fine.
Well, that may be true but, I think we're past the point of the "just work hard" BS. The horse has left the barn and the only thing the "hard work" benefits long term are the slave masters, profit takers and associated corporate slime. "Working hard" today, just means you're sinking in quicksand a little slower. You "work hard" and I'll bitch. We'll both be in the sh*tter soon enough. I choose to go down shouting it out. You keep working hard. See where it gets you. All that matter is greed and corruption and how to best achieve it. Doesn't interest me. That's your world today brother, and the sooner you realize it, the sooner you quit fooling yourself. But hey, suit yourself. Some enjoy fantasy versus reality. Have at it brother!
Really? When has there ever been a guarantee? I know full well that I could walk into work tomorrow and not have a job. But you know what? I choose to work where I do, I accept that I have guarantees & I believe that my hard work is noticed & will be rewarded. Knowing there are actually people like you out there gives me an added sense of security though, so thanks for being you!
Well, you're certainly welcome, Mr. Eddie Haskell. Keep pretending and polishing those knobs! I'm sure they find it entertaining!
Are you claiming that the other entertainment industries are down 40%? I would like to see some proof of that.
I don't care how big the overall number is, losing 2.4% of an increase is not a massive decline, no matter how much you would like it to be. By your logic, if Obamacare was repealed and the corporate tax rate was reduced, it would have no effect on corporate expansion because consumer spending is not growing fast enough. Is that really your position?
