I thought it was interesting how the McCain staffers came out of the woodwork, like cockroaches, and spilled the beans on Palin. Seems like we didn't get the whole story about her 150G wardrobe! Imagine that!

It has been confirmed that a republican supporter of McCain's opted to pay for a new wardrobe for Mrs. Palin and she was told to go buy 3 new "suits" and to dress the family as well, so they would "look" the part. When the supporter received the bill, they pooped their undies. Needless to say, the RNC did not spend 150G on her new wardrobe, she did and that's who you naysayers wanted to put in the White House? I sure am glad the majority of America didn't buy into their BS, like you did!

    Ribbit :)

Ps: You naysayers filled this board with all the lies and inuendos about Barack before the election, now it's payback time!

The Truth About Palin Is Silly!!!!

If buying, those new clothes are the worst thing McCain losing staff can pin on Palin, I find it hilarious. Have none of them been married before? "Hey honey, here's my credit card. Go buy yourself something nice." ROFL!

Ps: As a note of interest ;), it only took Rev Wright 2 days to slither and ooze back onto the national stage.

As for Mrs Palin I dont think we have heard the last of her :D It could end up with her running for the senate if Ted Stevens manages to hold on and win

So now you are going to fill this board with all the lies and innuendos about McCain and Palin. You are off to a flying start. Show me one piece of evidence that she even went shopping. With all of NBC, CBS, ABC and CNN on her like flies on @%@#, there has got to be lots of film of her shopping trip. Right?

BTW, the biggest reason they (the RNC - that's right, they spent the money, not Palin) spent that much was because they bought more than one size to be sure something fit.

Now, why do I care who spent how much on Palin's clothes? With the economy going south, my retirement disappearing, BO trying to take my rights away as well as the money I have left, Palin's clothes don't really concern me.

Yeah, I thought it was interesting too. To me it looks like they're (the moderates that we don't want) are finally showing their hand. That with McCain no longer defending her. Who's side are they on? Who and what purpose does this information serve to harm/damage? Let me tell you. It does nothing more than serve to damage the party itself. Now don't you have to ask WHY, 'they' would want to do this? This is much bigger than Palin.

She did not campaign for the VP spot. He asked. She accepted. Now they're more than willing to make her the scapegoat while McCain comes out clean as the wind driven snow. It isn't the fact that McCain himself made an extremely poor choice or could have done something wrong. Hmmmmm.

History will look back at McCain striving to be the conservative republican and laugh. He's a traitor. I don't feel an ounce of sympathy for him or the party that they lost.

As far as the money spent on clothes, I think most of those stories are fabricated and even if she did spend 150k on clothes, it's the least of my concerns. And a very small amount compared to the 400k weekend getaway, spa treatment that was afforded to AIG insurance execs, the week after the bailout. I know you guys like grabbing at straws but again....bigger fish to fry!!

I think Palin was a very poor choice, she made McCains ticket look just that much less appealing to me. I do NOT blame her though...I blame McCain as it was his choice, I still just dont understand why he picked her...even if he wanted a female for the spot there were better candidates still.

Today I read that McCain and Palin staffers are now bearing it all like a Jerry Springer showdown. One claimed 'Palin did not understand Africa was a continent not a country'

Hard to believe but even if true it is irrelevant mudslinging...I care as much about that mudslinging as I do about any other...I could care less how much Palin spent for clothes...it doesnt matter.

What makes me respect a candidate is their ability to run on their own strengths and not their opponents weaknesses...no one accomplished that...or even tried...and I am sure they never will. This is just me of course, I know many want thier candidate to go as low as it takes. My main respect for McCain is that he knows when to drop it and get on with the most important thing...that is the running of this nation...We need competent administrators, not slick political rhetoric, transparent tactics, and constant attacks...I want an effective, moderate, fiscal conservative government...a pipe dream I know...

Yeah. McCain had 2 issues he could hammer Obama on all day long. Inexperience and an empty 'Change' message. So, what did he do? He chose every bit as inexperienced running mate to be one 72 year old heartbeat away from the Presidency...and adopted an empty 'Change' message.

I didnt contribute to the RNC(or the DNC, for that matter), so they money they spent didnt come from me. And even if I did; my 10 bucks wouldnt buy a pair of socks at Bergdorf/Goodman. It doesnt matter anymore. And those aides for Palin. Wow! What a bunch of sycophants. Now they want to tell you the ''dirt''. Burning bridges is very risky in politics.

I tell you what, if you will use your brain RLM, you'd figure out why there is no footage. She went shopping before the press even knew she was McCain's VP pick, but wasn't that what the clothes were for, so her and her famly would "look" the part when announced? I think a 1st grader could have figured that one out!

    No they didn't, my friend!

"On Wednesday, two top McCain campaign advisers said that the clothing purchases for Ms. Palin and her family were a particular source of outrage for them. As they portrayed it, Ms. Palin had been advised by Nicolle Wallace, a senior McCain aide, that she should buy three new suits for the Republican National Convention in St. Paul in September and three additional suits for the fall campaign. The budget for the clothes was anticipated to be from $20,000 to $25,000, the officials said.

Instead, in a public relations debacle undermining Ms. Palin’s image as an everywoman “hockey mom,” bills came in to the Republican National Committee for about $150,000, including charges of $75,062 at Neiman Marcus and $49,425 at Saks Fifth Avenue. The bills included clothing for Ms. Palin’s family and purchases of shoes, luggage and jewelry, the advisers said."

It was all over the news, RLM and everyone now knows the TRUTH but you, but now you know it so it's otay. ;)

As to me spreading lies and inuendos, I speak the truth and I have the facts to back it up. :D

An animal-rights activist wriggles free from a legal trap.

    By Dash Robinson
    Oct. 6 - 12, 2000 (Vol. 20, #40)

An animal-rights activist wriggles free from a legal trap.

Arathi Jayaram took a quick peek around the crowded conference room inside the Omni Shoreham Hotel. Two thousand attendees, escaping the late-May humidity, sat attentively as Secretary of Agriculture Dan Glickman strolled to the podium to kick off something called the National Nutrition Summit. Jayaram, in keeping with the spirit of the day, carried her own nutritious treat: the tofu cream pie she had made earlier that morning.

Pie tucked under her shirt, Jayaram left her fourth-row seat and strode onstage to within 3 feet of Glickman, somehow unhindered by hotel security. She cocked her arm and fired, point blank.

The pie flew toward Glickman, who managed to turn his back. "Shame on you, Dan Glickman, you meat pimp!" Jayaram yelled. Security officials promptly carried her from the hall; globs of goo clung to Glickman's suit.

Jayaram tells the story with pride. An activist with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), she disrupted the D.C. conference to protest what she perceives as Glickman's excessive support of the U.S. meat and dairy industries. "As a group that supposedly focuses on health, they do quite a bad job," says Jayaram, describing the Agriculture Department. "I decided to make a statement that some people care about eating well."

The activist, of course, had expected to pay a price for making that statement. She spent the night in jail, charged with misdemeanor assault on a cabinet officer. In June, Jayaram pleaded guilty to the charge, and U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Alan Kay sentenced her to two years of probation and community service. Last month, though, Virginia officials threatened Jayaram—an Old Dominion resident who had come to D.C. only to attack Glickman—with one further consequence of her pie toss: a shotgun wedding.

Toad, if you would have put half as much effort into scrutinizing and actually looking into Obama's history as you've put into this "clothes scandal", you'd be in shock.

"Shame on you, Dan Glickman, you meat pimp!"

    made it all worthwhile. lol

Oh I see, it's otay for you to slander Obama with NO proof but I post irrefutable evidence and now I should have put more effort into researching Obama? I've proved repeatedly that I researched Obama, by refuting your crock during the election but I don't see you doing the same here. Why? The answer to that is easy, you can't! :D

    Payback sucks, doesn't it?

This statement is laughable!!! What's the payback you're giving me? You didn't prove a damn thing. Irrefutable evidence??!!! LOL!!!!!!! You refuted with your opinions. All you did is give us your beliefs and opinions as facts.
Hell, I asked for a list of all the positive things about Obama and what he was going to do, or has done, from you multiple times. You never showed. You couldn't even do that!

Here I am!! Name what you want proof about and I'll start a (another) new thread with Obama facts. And then I will kindly ask the moderators to monitor that thread like a hawk, so if you or I, give even the slightest opinion, that post can be deleted. We'll see who's left standing.

I can find enough damage just in youtube videos of quotes coming from his own mouth to support just about anything. Except he won't admit to anything about his birth certificate of course. I can find plenty of youtube videos questioning more than 5 aspects of it though. Which means there is "doubt". Which means I can't prove that I'm right, and you can't prove that you're right!! So you're not right!
Your *assumption* that the one posted on his campaign site is real, is nothing more than that. An assumption. NOT PROOF! You follow me?

Here's another ground rule: His campaign website can be used to support another found fact or to prove a LIE, but cannot be used for facts by itself. Most of it is rhetoric anyway. After this one, you'll probably just want to take your ball and go home, eh? Because I know you weren't going on much else.

I think a new thread would be good to get to the bottom of things. What do you think? Any post that starts with , "I believe" or " I think" or "I don't think", the moderator can automatically delete. What do you say?

If the past is any indication of the future, I can guarantee you won't have a lot to add. I don't know if it's even worth my time to prove you wrong anymore. As far as I can tell, you haven't won anything here.

You are such an idiot! You never answered my question I posted a long time ago. How did Barack become a U.S. Senator without being a U.S. Citizen and not being able to prove it?

The fact that he has already been proven to be qualified for the U.S. Senate and WAS NOT born a citizen of a foreign country, he qualifies for becoming President! Arnold Schwarzenegger cannot run for the Presidency, because he was born a citizen of foreign country, Barack wasn't. So why don't you STFU about that and let's get down to the real issues, so I can continue to prove you wrong and I will.

    Bring it on!

And while you're at it, why not show your intelligence and answer my poll? I see there have been quite a few peeps look at it but not one of you have voted. Why? All you Barack bashers seem to know everything, don't you know the answer to that one? It's a simple question, that any American should know the answer to, so are you not an American? I find it so interesting that the peeps that tout themselves as patriotic and Americans, can't even answer a simple question about America. Palin didn't know Africa was a continent but that's Africa, not America. What's your excuse for being so ignorant?

    Vess1,

Do you think before you type? Really, I haven't been in this thread at all and actually in very few as of late. Just sitting back watching people go at it.
In other words I'm reading and observing for the most part.

Of course the mods have nothing better to do. Of course the mods have no opinions. Of course the mods are all knowing.

I may be mistaken but I think mods jump in when it gets out of hand no matter who is at fault. At times people disagree with them but so be it.

Perhaps they should set up a "pay per view" match for you guys? Raise money for the site?
    No holds or "facts" barred?

    Sheesh!
