I would also just like to say this in response to Moen's "white male" rant:

"Oh Moen boy, Moen boy...Isn't it great to be a white male? You don't have to deal with discrimination in your face on a daily basis because, well, you're a white male. No one ever makes you feel out of place with racial comments because, well again, you're a white male. How long has it been that white males have been the dominant gender and race in America, oh yeah, ALWAYS? (Or at least since they conducted government sanctioned genocide on the Native American population).

It's difficult to change old habits especially when there isn't any visible benefit for one's self. Moen, you are plainly a RACIST and I'm sure that you REALLY got off rattling off your short list of derogatory ethnic slurs in an open forum. Good for you! Have you ever seen a list of the attributes of an arrogant person? Check this out and maybe show your wife. See if she thinks it describes you accurately.

People who score highest on personality tests that measure arrogance are the ones that are least able to see themselves clearly. Arrogant people:

Are controlling and tend to lose emotional control (Hm.... sounds like what you are doing, while ranting here!) if things don’t go their way.
Act as if no one else can do anything as well as they can. (And again....)
Are poor listeners and do not take input from others so they don’t get the feedback they need to make good decisions. (And again....)
Are afraid to look at the contradictions within themselves – strengths and weakness, things they like and don’t like about themselves. (And again....)
Are afraid to be vulnerable so they must pretend to be their perfect image and better than others. (And yet again!!!!)

So feel free to call me all the names you want. I'll just consider the source."

AJ, as a "white male" you have very little to be offended about. You are the king of the heap, lord of jungle, master of all you survey. You and I were fortunate to be born white males in this day and age. You should thank your lucky stars for your good fortune. I only get peeved off when some white males fail to recognize that they are not playing on an even playing field but come to the game with a white spoon in their mouths. They are oblivious to the much harder road that some have had to take to get to the game. This PC topic is just one example of that indifference.

I don't have to justify anything to you - you ought to be intelligent enough to figure it out yourself. But for the sake of you bludgeoning everyone with tirades, I'll put it to you this way: go try telling that to the kids out there being turned down for colleges because the "white male" quota at the school is already filled. Or tell it to the white kids who will never make anything in life because of their situation financially, emotionally, or physically. Not every white guy who is born into this world has a silver spoon in their mouth, Moen. THAT is how you are being discriminatory.

 

If you can seriously deny that being born white and male in this day and age isn't an advantage, you are simply fooling yourself. What do you find so offensive about the term "white male" anyway? It describes you and I perfectly. I never said at any point that all white males have silver spoons at birth, in fact, I said white spoon which is entirely different. I DO know that many WM's are born into less than ideal situations, but I know that the situation is far worse for lets say a black child born into that same situation. Don't go all indignant white guy on me AJ. Geeez!

 

Minorities have all kinds of advantages with getting into college, getting money for college, getting business loans, and moving up the government civil service tract.
More then the forgotton poor working class whites of this nation. However, the majority of white america, if we were to divide it, I would say is of middle class and above backgrounds and you can not compare the advantage that gives someone from jump street.

Now the best ethnic group to be in this country is most likely White Spanish.
You can have the best of both worlds when it comes to taking the advantages.

Question: Why is Moen being called jerk and dance. Does that refer to being a puppet on a string for even if I strongly disagree with him on some very serious key issues, I have noticed that his viewpoints over all are diverse.

jump street is an old eighties term meaning from birth.

Middle class advantages from birth:
1. If one is born into a white middle class family that is in construction,
one could be sponsered for union membership and get the high paying jobs.
2. If one is born into an upper middle class family of bankers and brokers then
one knows the ins and outs of that world as well as having a path directed to
follow and family connections to get one's foot into the door as well as to
gain access to informal meetings on golf courses and the like.

Sooo...you're saying that most middle and upper class white Americans CAN NOT be compared to "the advantage that gives someone from jump street". I understand what you mean by "Jump street", now what does the entire sentance mean? I'm not trying to by evasive at all, I really don't know what you're getting at with that sentance.
