My " party " is conservatism.......I am surely not inline with the Republicans and do not march in lockstep. I am not " for anything that makes the left uncomfortable ". I stand for something.

 

For 8 years you and the left railed on Haliburton because someone in the administration USED to work there.......I find your post intellectually dishonest and hypercrtical at best. In my case, the CEO was appointed and paid by this administration. Fact.

 

I don't know about it being a 'stretch' to link the administration to this CEO's pay when the article says...

GM's SEC filing said that Akerson agreed to the pay package after the government's pay czar approved it Wednesday.

Sounds like not too much of a stretch if the administration are the ones saying 'yes you can' because...


The pay czar is responsible for setting pay guidelines for top executives at the four companies still getting exceptional assistance from the government's $700 billion bailout fund.

GM is one of those 4 companies.

Jack is one of the more reasonable people in this forum. I don't agree with him on many of his political views and also many of his religious views but I still respect that he can put forth his points without the ego-driven, emotional, partisan garbage you see from most posters here. I can't even be as reasonable as Jack sometimes but I admire his level headedness just the same even while disagreeing with him. At least he acts like an adult which is more than you can say about a good percentage of this lot.

James Carville and Mary Matlin prove it can work I LOVE Carville, the man is brilliant and I wish he were on our side.

He kicks Roves ass....only Dick Morris has his insight, thats because they both worked on the same team at one time.
