Where and how does this happen? It must be some mistake. Maybe it was only suppose to be a $900 refund. There is no way otherwise that I see.

All I know is your great and prestigious party couldn't come up with anybody that could beat a lamebrain (as you have self dubbed). Maybe when you can beat a "lamebrain", you'd have some hope of regaining the White House. Till then, any lamebrain will work against the right I guess.

Well, uhhhhh, I don't think I've used the term "lamebrain" so I don't understand you harping on it.

Hey if you want to check into a real conspiracy theory why don't you check into the back room dealings with Soros and Ted Kennedy & the double cross they pulled on Hillary.

You didn't use the term? My mistake. You right wingers all look alike. As a rule, if you've seen one, you've seen them all.

I was talking to my sister about this and she knows someone who does not work and gets a refund. How is that possible?

Probably some of the same methods that allow corporations, CEO's and other republican slime to often pay ZERO taxes, and hide wealth offshore. Them damn leeches in society that make it hell for the rest of us.

Apparently, this goes back to an act that was passed in 1975. The Earned Income Credit act allows for a $3650 per child tax credit over & above any other deduction one may qualify for. The example I read said a married couple, with 3 children can earn up to $48000 and have ZERO tax liability. People earning less than that will get more money back in the form of a refund than they originally paid in.

Sounds like "good business". What's the problem?

What's so good about people getting tax refunds for more than they paid? I don't get.

I guess these refunds are good for business. I was at a large retailer yesterday looking for a new camera and asked the sales guy if they might be on sale this weekend. He informed me they don't typically run good sales during the tax refund season because so many people are coming in & spending their refunds without expecting the same type of sales they have for the Christmas buying season. He also said he was told the chain sells more during Christmas but profits are higher during the tax refund season.
Guys, by not "working the system" we are really missing out.
