Pure silliness. I'm not a birther and I'm sure you would call me the poster boy for hardcore Republicans so that kinda shoots your argument down doesn't it? In fact, other than the tv I don't hear anyone making much of a deal about it. I think BO & the left are the ones who want to keep bringing it up in order to get a little attention & sympathy. Oh yeah, and that "afraid to answer" remark earlier? Seems a little odd coming from the guy who distances himself (when called out on it) from the affection he has for socialist Bernie Sanders and his oppostion to the 2nd Amendment...but I guess it's par for the course.
Right, because you differ my whole argument is completely wrong. I see. You really must think a lot of yourself. And the 49% of Iowa Republicans that believe the birther crap are..... Kidding? Sorry your opinion just doesn't carry as much weight as you think it does.
Listen you idiot. When you say "The only thing I assumed was that few would answer", it absolutely means you think people are scared to respond. So do you have a day job or is your circus gig at night? Notice the question mark clown! Do you really think Trump believes that Obama is not an American citizen? Notice the question mark clown! It is painfully obvious that Trump is exploiting the issue in order to get attention. If it is reasonable to believe that Trump is not sincere in his birther claim, why isn't it reasonable to think that other Republicans would exploit the issue in order to attack Obama? Notice the question mark clown! I am sure there are some idiot Republicans that do believe the birther nonsense, just like there are some Democrats who believe the truther nonsense. However, there is no way that 50% of Republicans in any state believe that crap. Now we know that you are too cowardly to answer question when you know you are wrong, so we are prepared for an abrupt end to this thread. Time to change you pants again! Guess the sewer came to you!
Reallllly! You underestimate the stupidity of your brethren just a tad. If you add the 48% of Iowa Republicans that believe Obama wasn't born in the U.S. to the 26% of Iowa Republican that aren't sure, the number is well over 50%. Wrong again angry idiot. Being wrong is just becoming a habit of yours. Poll: 48% Of Iowa Republicans Say Obama Wasn't Born In U.S. Jon Terbush | April 19, 2011, 11:15AM34 Nearly half of usual Republican primary voters in Iowa think President Obama was not born in the United States, while barely one-quarter believe he was, according to a PPP poll released on Tuesday. In the poll, 48% of registered Republican voters said Obama was not born in the U.S., while 26% said he was. Additionally, 26% said they were unsure. That percentage is actually slightly better than the national average for typical Republican primary voters, a majority of whom believe Obama was born outside the U.S. In February, a PPP poll found that 51% of registered Republican voters said Obama was not born in the U.S., compared to 28% who said he was, and 21% who were unsure. However, the high birther base does not necessarily mean that the issue will be critical in determining which candidate wins Iowa. Donald Trump, who has vaulted to the front of several polls through a media blitz in which he's repeatedly questioned Obama's birth, placed a modest third in the poll's hypothetical primary election. While 19% of voters who doubted Obama's citizenship backed Trump, 25% broke for Huckabee. The PPP poll was conducted April 15-17 among 419 registered Republican voters. It has a margin of error of 4.8%.
419 random people contacted in Iowa? You assume they were really Republicans and you assume they answered honestly? I have had a lot of fun with these pollsters over the years, so........?
Wow. Ive never had a pollster come to my door or even call on the phone in the 35 years Ive been voting. You sure are lucky David. They must really like your asnwers. Over the years and all.
Why is it when you post a poll, you treat it as if it came directly from God's lips? The ones you don't post and disagree with are wildly inaccurate. Funny how that works here.
Now, before anyone twists or spins my words, let me clear that I'm NOT a birther. I've seen a picture of Obama's "Certificate of Live Birth" (which is not the actual birth certificate, btw) and it's proof enough for me. Here is an ABC poll from April, 2010. I think it's hilarious that 31% of Republicans polled are birthers, but 15% of Democrats polled are birthers, too!! Even 6% of Democrats polled said there was SOLID EVIDENCE THAT OBAMA WAS BORN IN ANOTHER COUNTRY!!!!!!!! Also, nearly 1 in 5 Independents polled are birthers! WOW!!!! View attachment 164 Hahahah....! I would have thought that the "Democrat" statistics would be near zero (not because they're any smarter, they're just more lemming-like)! I wonder if they also believe in a flat earth...! LOL... go figure!
Being the recipient of a random pollster call is hardly something I would consider a sign of importance. You've mentioned before that you aren't very involved perhaps they just don't know you exist?
If what you are asking about is whether I think the pollsters were played by these Iowa voters, I think that is a far-fetched rationalization on your part more than anything. That rationalization lets you keep your personal view intact without having to incorporate any alternate ideals which would cause you certain cognitive dissonance. We can't have that now can we?
