Trump sounds serious!

Well, Obama finally released his actual Certificate of Live Birth (the true document created in 1961)! This ought to shut the birthers up! He must have had some reason not to release it earlier, but for the life of me I can't understand why:

I think he was just trying to pi$$ you off. That's my theory anyway and I'm sticking to it.

 

Hahahah.. good one. Anyway, birthers can now join 9/11 truthers in the dustbin of history.

 

Let us hope. I'm curious though, how will these same birthers now react to those that have been pushing this stuff for so long? It should be interesting to watch. I imagine some percentage will never let it go. Some percentage will slowly lose interest. Some percentage will never admit that they were duped and deny there ever was a controversy in the first place. Human nature I guess.

Can anyone here tell me which other American President has been forced to publicly display evidence of his Birth within the US of A?

 

Every other one who had a parent or parents who either were not American citizens or not obviously residing in America (and Donald Trump).

 

I was betting he would produce it in 2012.

 

None that I can think of. Including the current President. He wasn't forced to show it either, that I know of. The whole thing was political (and in Trumps case publicity seeking), not legal. There have been legal cases over it but no decisions that forced the President to do what he did.

 

My guess is because HI said the Certification of Live Birth that was shown long ago was proof. Period. Case closed and let the crazies whisper to themselves in the background. No need to dignify them with a response.

Until someone as big, known and crazy as Trump brought the issue out of the background and into living rooms all over the country. Then it is time to squash the conspiracy and make it look silly (and maybe Trump too) before it does any real harm.

Just my guess, though. And I still would have waited until 2012.

 

I thought the certificate of live birth was released years ago and that was what none of the birthers were satisfied with? They wanted the actual real birth certificate which was something entirely different. How has anything changed from when it was released last year?

You're right, there will probably be many who are still not appeased. I am somewhat. I wouldn't call myself a full blown birther. I'm somewhat less skeptical. It's not an issue I'm going to lose sleep over.

Like all good conspiracy theories, nothing satisfies and it will never go away no matter what facts are presented. It will just get crazier and crazier and relegated further and further to the fringes of society until it finally ends up as an 1157 post thread on prwe...otherwise known as The Sound of One Hand Clapping.

 

From what I can determine, Birth Certificates are government documents to be used exclusively by government agencies. This may vary from state to state though. In most cases people have been able to get a COPY of the actual document, but they usually have to get it in person and jump through a few other hoops first. But I doubt you can actually get THE birth certificate, since it's a government document. Instead they will give you a Certificate of Live Birth, a legal document that contains all the necessary information but doesn't include some details that are irrelevant for most purposes. As for the "Birthers" accepting this as proof? Highly unlikely, there are still unanswered questions they have put forth that will allow them to persist indefinitely. Most notable would be Obama's father's heritage, Obama's dual citizenship, and his possible loss of U.S. citizenship while living in Indonesia. ...stir, stir, stir... (laughs)

 

Got any other insightful revelations now that Trump has dropped out? Apparently, going at Obama didn’t pay off too well. What a political hack!

That blowhard, carnival barker was never going to run. He was just letting the them stroke his ego for a while until Obama made him look like a fool. Then it was time to bail before the ratings went down.
