ok, Bush tried to install democracy into Iraq in a few years while it took us over decades to get the job done in Japan and don't forget Douglas McArthur the Occupational General of Occuppied Japan with his staff wrote their consitution and picked thier first political leaders and removed thier emperour as a false god. So Bush had the right idea with removing the largest arab army but the wrong idea with trying to make everything peachy keen in a presidential term. So should we pull our troops up into Northern Iraq to protect our Kurd allies and just let the sunnis and shia kill each other. Is it in the best interests of the non-mulsim world to just let the muslims kill each other in a sunni-shia war. For it would grow and the players would change. Potential senerio would be Sryia and Jorden with Saudi and other gulf state nations funding in the trillions would then ally ithemsleves with the saudi and other sunni gulf states against Iran and the the Iraq shia. It would also be interesting to see where pakistan with there being around 80% sunni and 20% shia would play out. After all they have been blowing up and shooting up each others mosques for years now. Remember the more the muslims kill each other the less non-muslims die and perhaps if enough of the real hard core element die off, the rest after being sickened and burned out from the conflict would have the opportunity to shed themselves of the Cleric chains that enslaved their lives.
