What decisions did you make that did not allow you a nice income? Laziness does not count, when did you really decide to be a low level shelf filler or check out boy as a career? Did you listen to too much Led Zepplin while in school? Was Ozzy Osborn your role model?

See Jack, the liberal way is to bring everyone down to their level, not lift them up to yours...that's just not done in tom's world (what that that settles to the bottom?). If you and your family are healthy, happy & prosperous you must have done something wrong!

First of all, I'm sure the OP here was a C&P, though I have no doubt that Tom's hatred is aligned with the original author's. It looks like this administration's class warfare tactics are achieving success with some people. I don't know why there is this much hatred. Do you really think every republican is rich? Let's be serious. There are billions and billions of people in the world. Hundreds of millions in this country. A mere handful of rich, greedy people get spotlighted by the liberal media on a regular basis, and after a while, some people think everybody's rich but them. LOL! Too funny. And they're ALL republicans! Never mind Soros, Harry Reid, John Kerry. The democrats are richer than the republicans! That's the dirty little secret.

Why does Tom assume everybody's rich? I sure as hell am not! I'm probably not even considered middle class! Everybody I work with makes more than me. But I'm satisfied with what me and my wife bring home. More than satisfied. Not that it's anybody's business, but I didn't go out and get the most expensive house I could afford either. I got a small one that was cheaper than my rent was! Everybody has a bigger and better house than me. It was so cheap, I can't lose. But it's still a good old house with no problems. I'd bet TomC's place is worth multiples of mine! But I'm fine with that. I'm not burdened by my mortgage at all. It's an afterthought. This is what allows me to get some nice stuff that I otherwise could not afford. This allows us to have nicer vehicles.

If I worried about what everybody else has as much as some people do, I'd have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning!

If you have a roof over your head, food on the table, and internet to play with, nobody should be bitc#ing. Some people just want more and more at everybody else's expense. The rich are already paying most of the taxes. There isn't a tax problem, there's a spending problem. If they took 80% from everybody who makes over $200,000/year and just confiscated it for taxes..... How long do you really think it would be before they managed to spend it all and they'd be back into deficit spending again? 10 years? 5 years? The first year!? No amount the government takes will EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER be ENOUGH!!!!!!!!! That is the point you need to understand. So I say give them less. The system is broken. The US cannot take care of every illegal that wants to come here with their feelings of entitlement. Everybody was born into the situation they were born into. It's not my fault or David's fault or Lehigh's fault. People can make the best of it or whine about it. There's people in Africa getting a UN provided bowl of rice per day that are enjoying their lives more than some people on this board. It's sad.

 

Is there proof that democrats are richer than republicans? Is it due to their party allegiance? You choose nicer cars over a nicer home. To each their own right? Doesnt mean its a bad thing does it? Is it wrong to have both nice cars and a nice home? Everybody was born into the situation they were born into? Very profound. But what does that mean? And you are right about the government never having enough. So then what difference does it make which political party you prefer? I watch both network and cable news as well as read newspapers. I dont see rich greedy guys being spotlighted on a regular basis. And why is that distasteful to you? Are you just as digusted when the liberal media calls attention to some rich philanthropic guys? And do our federal taxes really only go to illegal aliens? And never mind Africa; theyre people, I'm sure in your home state, that go hungry quite often. Should we, as the better off, be willing to help them just a bit? If what you say about being born into their situation, then they cannot help their lot in life, yes? Taxes suck, no doubt. I just read a story about it not too long ago. At least the elected officials that all the "poor" people keep voting into office to save them. They're richer than the republicans. But nobody wants to know or talk about that. I said that just to prove how foolish it is attacking a party over wealth. There's rich snobs and helpless poor affiliated with both parties. The rich dems are afforded a pass though, by their supporters.

What does it mean being born into your situation? It means you could be Bill Gates kid or an illegal immigrant's kid that is neglected and thrown out on the street. Up to you to identify what your goal is in life from there. Hating everybody that has more is a waste of energy. There's rich, greedy people that live for money that won't enjoy life as much as I have. They'll never be happy because they never can get enough. Why dwell on these people? They don't have anything else to live for and when they're gone, nobody will care.

Should we be willing to help people? We don't have a choice. We're forced to help whether we would want to or not and then we give donations on top of that. That's why people come here in droves from all over the world. It can't be for good jobs anymore.

 

I really dont think people from all over the world come here in droves just to get welfare. Cant be good for jobs? What are you talking about? Do you know any of these droves that pushed aside an American who had a salaried postition at IBM? some jack ball in here claimed he knew an unemployed construction worker who love the chance to work at six bucks per hour. But the illegals have those jobs. That is BS at its highest level. Show me someone who was making $30/hr begging to make four times less than that and no benefits instead of taking unemployment checks at the maximum amount. You are the clown, sir. You are the clown. It is clear how you feel towards your fellow man.

More likely than not...it's POSSIBLE but not very likely, that they "accumulated" their wealth through ill gotten gain. That's a safe bet better than 90% of the time, and probably closer to 99% in the corporate world. I am referring to the typical "business" world popularly called capitalism....not sports figures or lottery winners.
