David did you perhaps miss the little event in India a short while ago, I refer to the attack on Mumbai? so yes the security is needed as for taking his family should the President of the most powerful country on earth cowtow to terrorists by not taking his family or should he do as this President is and take them? Which would you prefer?
Perhaps you would prefer it if he did not visit any country or even state within the US, as I do remember you complaing about him taking a vacation as well.

I'm quite capable of learning DeOrc. I've learned that your intolerance varies depending on the poster. Just when I think I've figured out that magical line, based on who and what you censor, moves around, again depending on the poster. The only consistency you show is your own bias.

Who drinks to be relieved of guilt? I only feel guilty that anyone's tax dollars would ever go to help a lazy MFer like you! And don't worry, you will never end up like me or anyone successful because you are the sorriest excuse for a human being on the entire planet. If you lived outside this country, they would kill you! But you live here and are protected by the freedoms of this country, the same country that you spit upon with every treasonous word that comes out of your pathetic mouth.

You call questioning things that don't make sense treason. I would call your blind allegiance to a bunch of obvious lies treason.

You hate everything about this country including the economic system that it was founded upon. Don't try to claim that your questioning of policies is some kind of patriotism. You are a ****ing communist, plain and simple. David asked you 1,000 times before how much in taxes is enough. From what I know about you, 100% wouldn't surprise me. Do every American a favor, go a take a long walk off a short pier.

Lehigh, be nice to Tom... From what I can tell, he's mentally unhinged.

Of course Tom you on the other hand are as white as the driven snow

Mentally unhinged equates to being republican, which I am not.

Tom, I would like for you to take a moment and relax. Then, I want you to pass some gas. Think of the sound that makes and type it into your next post. That would make a lot more sense than anything you've said.

I'm not in a position to be selectively biased, and to exercise that bias to protect my buddy. That would be you.

Like I've said before, you give a whole lot more leeway to certain individuals. Read the threads. It's plain as hell to see. Here's how you work...Tom Post (make sure to look for infractions) Lehigh posts (gee....I musta missed that one)

So who's "we"? Are you implying (or coming up with excuses) that it's best for Obama and family to spend millions of dollars and face security risks for the CHANCE they MIGHT decide to order military equipment from the U.S.? It might have been cheaper to send them a few for free, let them try them out, and have Obama stay home. But that wouldn't work into the plan because he doesn't like being couped up in the WH. He likes going on vacations using goverment property.

BTW, shouldn't Boeing (a.k.a. the "private sector") be pitching their products to foreign countries if they want the business, or has that become B.O.'s job now too? Just curious.

Actualy yes it is part of the job of the leader of any country to help promote the business within his country (if you disagree please explain why) at the moment our own Prime Minister is on a state visit to China and has taken a trade delegation along with him, this way they talk to the top people and not simply functionaries.
Trade is political never forget that

Has BO accomplished anything on his trip? Heard the Indians may order an airliner or two but the So Koreans and Japanese rebuked him on a couple of proposals.

    An airliner or 2?

I read it was ten C17's on the military side...that alone is more than enough dollars and jobs to justify the trip. Plus I think there is also twenty seven 787's involved too.

Overall, I think the total for that 'airliner or 2' was around 10 billion dollars in new planes. And it isn't a 'may order'. It is now a done deal.

Do you think they decided to place that order "on the spot" just because BO was there or do you think maybe, just maybe, a deal of that magnitude had been discussed a little bit beforehand? Just askin'.

You are the one who brought up the planes as part of your 'Did he accomplish anything' post. Now...

Do you think that 'An airliner or 2' might be understating 37 cargo and jumbo jets just a little bit? Or did you really know nothing of the deals before you posted? Just askin'.

I really hadn't heard any hard news...been out on the farm for a few days where reception is very limited.
